My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | Need help with something on my Cover Letter for my Resume I have been laid off for a while now and my dream is to work at a Vet's Office, so I am getting my resume ready and am putting together my cover letter. Along with my skills, I noted in my letter that I am a breeder of Yorkshire Terriers. To show my love and experiece with animals. Hubby said he doesn't think I should put it?? What do you think?????? I want to work the front desk. Office Clerical / Receptionist |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I think you should put it in since you are looking for a job in a vets office. Good luck, I have been wanting to work part time at a vets office but I never see them advertised.

| I don't think it would hurt , it personalizes it and shows experience with animals. Maybe dh is worried that someone at the vets office may have something against breeders , so that's why he thought it better to feel them out after you get an interview... IDK why they would though, but just a thought.

| You should include it. If they don't like it and they find out later wouldn't that be worse than letting them know up front? I think what you need to show them is that you have enough experience with dogs to know some technical/medical terms and to know if something should be considered an emergency (and that you can stay calm in an emergency!), that sort of thing, but also make clear that you would respect boundaries and not try to answer a question that needs to be directed to a vet tech or the vet. Does that make sense? It is to their advantage to have someone with medical knowledge but they don't want someone who thinks they know everything. If you can communicate that to them then I think you will be fine! I sure wish I didn't have allergies... I would totally love to work at a vet's office. I'm very allergic to just about anything that isn't a Yorkie, especially cats, rabbits, ferrets and even labs and goldens
