| Humane Society found links between Puppymills and PETLAND Thought this was interesting and wanted to share. "America's largest chain of puppy-selling pet stores, Petland Inc., is also the nation's largest retail supporter of puppy mills. An eight-month investigation by The HSUS reveals that many Petland stores across the country are marketing puppy mill puppies to unsuspecting consumers." https://secure.hsus.org/01/stoppuppy...nd_video_care2 Watch the video, I thought it was very informative.

| Doesn't surprise me either...I suspected that's where most of those poor dogs are coming from. |

| It's a good, although heartbreaking video. They made an excellent point that if a lot of people contacted petland and told them to stop keeping puppies, it might put more pressure on the company.

| While the news isn't shocking, I think everyone here suspected places like Petland were supporting the puppymill "business" (if you can even call it that), the Humane Society has proof. With this information and the info on that other thread about the Petland manager speaking out, how much longer can petland owners and HQ keep saying "our puppies come from the best breeders in America"? Just a thought...
