| Anyone have a good spice cake recipe? I had the most delicious spice cake a couple years ago that a co-worker had made and stupid me didn't get the recipe! I think it had some time of caramel icing. Does anyone have any good recipes? Thanks! |

| The only one I have ever made was from a mix, but I thought it was pretty good! I used cream cheese frosting on it! YUM!

| I use the duncan hines spice cake mix and then add 2 apples(peeled, cored, and chopped up) to the batter..so its like an apple spice cake. Then i use cream cheese icing but mix 1/2 tsp of vanilla to flavor it a little differently. I drizzle it with caramel syrup--like the kind that you get for ice cream. Its soooooo good!

| Caramel Spice Cake - Allrecipes I made that one for something a baby shower maybe? a few months ago and it turned out beautifully. One of the reviews said something about needing 3-9" round pans but mine fit in two. I followed the recipe pretty closely. Hope that helps. |

| I use to bake all my cakes from scratch, but Duncan Heinz makes them just as delicious plus they stay fresher much longer without drying out. They have a really great spice one. You can get the sour cream frosting in the can and I add whipping cream to it to cut the sweetness and make it so soft and fluffy. I then cover the cake with pecans. Yummy!
