| Anyone ever been..... a mystery shopper? I thought it might be a fun way to earn a little extra cash. But there's so many companies out there. I wondered if anyone here had ever done it & could recommend a reputable one to go with.

| I sent for some info a few months ago and recieved a $2700 check in the mail with a note to go shopping and a questionaire to fill out. Spend so much and the rest was mine????? No other instructions, no info for contact if I had any questions. I was VERY unsure about the whole process so I tore up the check. Seemed sorta scamish to me. I do know a couple people who have done it in the past and enjoyed it. I just don't know how they got started and have no way to find out since they have moved. I would love to do it. We get monthly shoppers and phone shoppers at Lowe's. We do get to read the reports that are sent in and they are extremely detailed and informative. We also get bonuses if we do good. Last year, each employee at out store ended up getting about $1500 thruout the year for just being nice and helpful. We did finish 1st in our region and one of our cashiers won a car. Some employers do actually appreciate the effort that their employees make.

| Be grateful you tore up that check. I don't remember if it was on here, or in our local newspaper (its bad when you don't remember where you saw something. ) but i read about a scam like that --- but I just now looked it up: ConsumerReports.org - Don't fall for this 'mystery shopper' scam so from what this article says, that is a scam when they send you the money ahead of time like that. | I wonder if you could just go to local stores and ask if they are in need of a mystery shopper and see what the hours/pay are.....can you do that? I mean, I don't know....it seems easy enough! If you try, let us know!
