| How many hunters do we have on YT?? I was just thinking,,,,How many hunters do we have on our little forum? and how many other women hunters??? and did anyone get anything yet this year,,,and if so what did ya get? Hunting is one of my favorite things to do,,,I bow hunt,,but I got left out this year,,not enough money for my liscense,,,and This was the first year my son was old enough to go,,,so I let him have his time in the woods...I got my first buck with a bow 2 yrs ago..it was a pretty nice 8 point,,,(he tasted pretty nice too...lol)..I do go during Rifle season.but would MUCH rather bow hunt!!(you get sooooo much closer to them that way) and I think its more of a challenge...some women might thing im wiered,,,,but there is nothing quite like being 20 or 30 feet up in a tree,,,in the middle of nature,,

| I don't have the patients to deer and turkey hunt but I LOVE to duck and dove hunt! I stole my hubby's 12gauge pump last year and he is so not getting it back!

| I have hunted in the past, but now I just mostly go and sit in the stand and watch the deer. I have my own rifle, and if I saw the right deer, I'd go for it! My mom used to quail hunt, she was a good shot, but I never tried. My granddaughter is a good skeet shooter and she also dove hunts (she's 12). And oh yes!!! I love venison - my freezer was full, but now getting pretty slim - hope hubby fills it up again this season! Our season started last Saturday, but the hunting won't get good till the middle of December cuz it's still too warm.

| I'm actually going to have to either hunt with a 30-30 rifle or a 20ga shotgun.. I tried skeet shooting with hubbys 12ga and after a few shots it was too heavy to carry

| I hunt deer with a compound bow. I shot a doe on opening day this year but never found her, we had a good blood trail and then it just ended, it made no sense, there was a corn field close by so we figured she went in there. I hunt with my husband, dad and uncle. we all have a blast. I'm glad to see other women on here that hunt.

Donating YT Addict | My husband deer hunts. He got 2 on opening day this year with his bow. He likes to bowhunt better than gun. He said the same thing you did....more challenging.... he goes to a messageboard just like this and all they talk about is hunting....so he can't laugh at me for going to YT to talk about yorkies....
