| Digital Camcorder vs. Digital Camera This may sound really dumb but about 1-1/2 ago we bought this digital handheld (very tiny) Canon camcorder...we used it maybe 2x...it has th eability to record on a little cassete or on a card?? and can take still frame photos...am I able to upload this to a computer and post it or do I have to buy s digital camera for that??..Basically in essence what I am asking is....do I need a digital camera or is the camcorder peforming the same function???

| Since it is a Cannon is should be doing the same function in regard to stills as the regular digital camera would. You can upload to the computer just like with the camera so in my opinion no, you don't also need a digital camera unless you want one that performs more special functions besides what your camcorder offers.

| Your video camera should have come w/ a USB cable and software. Install the software and then connect the cable to both the computer and the video camera. |
