| Photography........ I am shopping around for a good "advanced" camera....I always love Canon camera. So, what do you think of this camera? Canon EOS Rebel XS Or do you have any other recommendation? By the way, I am just a beginner.....so, I don't need anything too fancy.... And I want a camera that can take good picture at night time........a good picture to me is a camera that can take capture both people and the background.... Thanks!! |

| His camera is a cannon powershot 315. Just make sure your camera has night shots on it. But he said the whole key to taking the night shots is not moving the camera not even a tiny bit so use a tripod or a monopod

| It looks like a great SLR camera. I have the Nikon D80 which is also a 10 megapixel SLR over 1 year ago for twice the price. I also bought a zoom lens and a different attachable flash unit. The detachable flash is better to bounce it off the ceiling and use a soft reflected light so it is not so harsh. Good luck on your search.

| I actually went to best buy today to buy that canon! I have heard great things about it. The only reason I didnt, is because it is just too big for me to carry around for everyday things. I always keep mine in my purse because I never know when my 4 year old will have a "kodak" moment! I started a thread yesterday about getting a new camera! Good luck!

Yea, smaller cameras are better for every day use. I want a "real advanced" one to take more "professional" pictures. I am going to my honeymoon next week and would love to have a good camera to capture the vacation....especially night time picture. Smaller cameras can't just don't do a good job.

| I have the Canon Rebel XL the picture quality is AMAZING people ALWAYS ask me if they are professional pictures when they see pictures I take of Bella or vacations. There are tons of settings, you can shoot in B/W too. AWESOME camera in my opinion..and I was a beginner. SO easy to use, look on amazon for some good deals though; the stores rip you off with it!

Which model do you have?? I just wonder if you have few pictures to share? Also, how much is consider a "good" price? Also, I would like to see picture of night time shot. I am searching for a good camera that can capture both people and night time background at the same time. Thanks!!
