| Extreme Makeover Home Edition was in our Town! Hello everyone! we had a little bit of excitement in our town.. Well its just 5 miles from me.. Our office is in the little town of Holt Michigan. A lady was picked from Extreme Home Makeover from Holt Michigan an it was so exciting to watch them build a house in a week. And of course see Ty Penndington. (sp) He is exactly like he is on the television! so nice and cute! If anyone hasn't seen what goes into this it's really something. They said it takes $75.000.00 a day to do this. Not counting the home and stuff alone.. this is just for the food catered, the hotels for everyone on the show.. etc.. The whole town is talking about it. The Lady was a widow of 3 boys. We know her and do her taxes.. She lost her husband in January to Hepititis C.. He was a Nurse and got pricked by a needle 7 years ago.. Well, it ended up taking his life.. So sad.. The poor lady had an Old brick house ... they were fixing up.. 1890 was the date it was build. It was in alot of disrepair. Supreme Home Edition went an built them a 3500 sq foot home.. BEAUTIFUL! that is the landscaping and everything! This lady really deserved it. She lost her job last year an having a hard time making it. IF it wasn't for the life insurance she had on her husband she didn't know what she would do. Anyway.. I went there for 6 days straight.. I didn't make the Reveal (Move that BUS!) one.. it was so packed I couldn't even get a half mile from the place.. lol.. but it was a great expierence anyway.. to see how they do it and what it takes to do the show. They went an collected over 60,000 for her existing mortage to help pay it off. really... if you ever get the chance to see something like this.. go for it.. I cried every day just watching.. It is really a heart mover.. and makes you think how lucky you are.. OR how lucky she is now!

| It is exciting isn't it! They have actually built two houses close to me, one about 30 min away. That episode just aired this past weekend. The other one was in Kentucky and my friend's husband works for the builder that built that one. She explained the whole process and it was really interesting! The stories just pull at your heartstrings, don't they! When does the house in your area air?

| Do the houses in person look as nice as they do on tv? It's just incredible how quickly it goes up, so I was always curious about how structurally sound, etc they are

| Yes they do look as beautiful as they are on Tv. At least this one was. The family also got the home insurance for a year from the builder and anything that goes wrong with it they will cover for a year. The children got grants from The colleges here for them to go to college.. an They collected over 60 grand to help her pay off her other mortgage. She was very lucky indeed. A really nice family! The taxes are paid the first year also!
