| Maid of Honor speech My best friend is getting married on Saturday! Where has the time gone?! I'm trying to work on my MOH speech and I'm clueless. I have known her since we were babies but I can't think of anything to say! Speaking in front of people is no big deal for me..I actually kind of enjoy it, I just have no idea what I'm supposed to say. Does anyone have any ideas, maybe a suggestion for how to get started??

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | My step-daughter was married a couple of weeks ago. I was really touched by her MOH's speech. You could tell it was from the heart. Just start out by sharing with the group the relationship you have with her. Let people know who aren't familiar how long you've known her. Share some personal stories. Definitely, throw some humor in there. This is a happy day! If you were involved with the stories of when she met her groom to be or how happy she seemed when you were told, etc.......that would be perfect. And end with stories of the couple....wishes for their happiness, etc. Anything that adds to a more personal side of the bride/groom to the speech in my opinion, can't go wrong. You'll do great!! Have FUN! She chose you for a reason!!

| Okay, here is what I've come up with so far. Please give me advice, I am completely open to suggestions! Amanda has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We have had a lot of fun together, and she's always been there for me when things were tough, whether it was 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon! We've come to know one another so well and we have an understanding that goes beyond words. When Clay proposed, Amanda didn’t even have to tell me, I just knew as soon as I heard the excitement in her voice! As they have grown closer together as a couple, I have seen firsthand, the joy that they have brought to each other. Amanda and Clay, I can see you both making a success of everything you do together. I am ecstatic for both of you. You truly complement one another. You met as friends and it has evolved into a love that so many people rarely find today. So I'd like to make a toast with this thought in mind: If there is such a thing as a good marriage, it is because it resembles friendship rather than love. So this is to you, Amanda and Clay, and a wonderful life together.

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Excellent, and nice job spelling complement. No one gets that right. I like it. Some of them go on for too long. That's short and sweet.

| Thanks ladies! You are all so kind! I ended up being pretty emotional that day so I decided to make my speech short and sweet and to the point! Amanda loved it and she knew that what I said truely came from the heart.
