Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Diet suggestions The year before last I started a diet, walking every night, stopped drinking sodas, drinking lots of water, and was relatively easy to loose weight, weight that came back after my surgery (hysterectomy) . By the end of Oct. we have some friends coming over from out of the country, we have not seen them in a while, and of course I don't want them to see me, with " a few" more pounds. I got a recipe for the cabbage 7 day soup, I've done it before, only this time I need to loose a bit more. Can anyone help with ideas? I know I should go slow, I know crash diets are not healthy, I no I'm going to get all the pounds back..but would you help???

| Please dont take offense to this because I am a big girl but if you are bigger then just cutting your calories considerably will help you drop weight/inches. If not then the carb diet normally helps you drop quickly.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | I absolutely love bread, soda, sweets, and now because of YT, I don't even walk anymore (LOL) I understand that a healthy diet is the key, even thou I'm not big, but my hips are WIDE and I'm only 5',138 lbs, so when I gain weight every single pound goes to my hips, and I look... lumpy. And no, I will never, ever take offense of a comment well meant , I do appreciate your words.

| One simple thing you can do is cut out sodas. You might as well just eat spoons full of sugar. ETA: Also if you do a search for "diets" I'm sure you'll come up with a lot of results.

| Another easy thing to do is to cut out "added salts" and drink 100 oz of water a day. Most foods (proteins especially) have naturally occuring sodium so you would just cut out anything that has "salt" as an ingredient. On my plan I also eat 5-6 small meals a day (every 2 1/2 -3 hours). At each meal I have 2 oz of lean protein and balance it with 1/3-1/2 of carb or fruit and then free vegetables throughout the day. No salt, no sugar, no dairy. Its really restrictive but it works for me. And its taught me smaller portions so even when I "fall off the wagon" I don't eat nearly the way I used to. I also walk 30 minutes a day and do resistance band training 2 times a week. Good Luck!

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | Morning #1 Ok, I'm back from my morning walk (first of many, I hope...no, I'm sure!!!) I had my morning cuban coffee (lost of sugar there) but I could not stop cold turkey on my morning coffee . I feel energized, so instead of seating here, I'll go clean up the house...but I'll be back soon, I can't stay away for to long Thank you all for the words of encouragement
