| Good Sunday Morning!!! 9-14-08 Hi there everyone!! Hope you all are doing well!!! It has been a wonderful weekend so far! Yesterday, we went to BACKYARD BURGER (a fav of mine) for lunch, and then to Petsmart shopping. We went for dogfood, but for some reason i can NEVER get out of there with just a bag of dogfood. I needed bath wipes, eye wipes, peepads (we use these in the rv when we camp.... at home I like the ones that Lil Bit made for us), a couple of Halloween items, and Shelby & Seymour got some new collars, harnesses and leashes!!! They got the step in harnesses (which I think that I will like). Seymour's is quite modest.... a tan color with plaid design (hubby picked his out) and Shelby's is a hot pink retro flower motif (my choice). Today, I am going to go thru the house and clean. I also am going thru Shelby and Seymours items that they no longer use or are too small and get them ready to sell at the Yorkie meetup we are having this coming weekend in the Cincinnati area. (if you would like to come, I am sure there is time to RSVP!!... just get ahold of tatertot15!) For our dinner this evening, I am making spaghetti and garlic bread......... I LOVE SPAGHETTI!! Hopefullly after dinner, well take Shelby & Seymour on a walk. They both need the exercise (and so do I!!) Anyway, what are you doing this weekend????

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | YUM YUM YUM. Can I come ? We're stuck due to Hurricane Yikes and it's pouring rain. I'm still exhausted from staying up all night trying to keep my girls safe and un-scared - and will probably take a nap - Then - I'll try again to call friends and take another nap. My girls are still jittery after the bad storm so I'm staying right with them since I'm the only one I know with electricity in my area. PLEASE still pray for everyone here - the rain is NOT helping those with no power or who were flooded - - and it is POURING almost as bad as during the hurricane. If I cook - it's going to be a frozen dinner. Yum. NOT !

I called and they said they didn't have a policy on dogs....so Panama69 is loaning me her dog stoller so they can come along. Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Good Sunday morning to you! Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen one of these threads; are they still here weekly? Maybe I've just forgotten to come here..... Yesterday we had the 3 grandkids over bright & early (between 7:30-8:30 ). Had to watch 2 of them til 12:30 and the other one until 6pm while their parents worked. It was kind of dreary all day; had rained almost all day on Friday and it just couldn't decide whether to be cloudy or sunny most of the day. But we were able to enjoy the backyard some later in the afternoon. My granddaughter Emily played on the swingset while hubby & I moved some plants and dirt/mud around. It's very cool and windy this morning......feels like fall!!!! Later this morning hubby is taking the car in for an oil change, gotta go grocery shopping & I'll probaby fiddle around the house. I'm on a hunt for my autumn decorations; can't remember where I put them.....or did I even have any......surely I did........don't ya just hate that? Anyway I'll do one last hunt for them and if I can't find them, well, I guess I get some new stuff huh??? Wishing all of my YT friends a safe, happy, fun, relaxing.....whatever you please kind of Sunday!

........ and bring the girls! Sounds like you definitely need to chillout today and take care of Chanel and Cheri. I know what is like to be in an area that has been hit with disaster. Our small town was flooded years ago and it was so awful. We were lucky as our home is a mile away from the river that flooded, but there were so many without homes. We were planning on getting new furniture and decided to donate our used furniture to disaster relief instead of selling it (it was still in very good condition). We were without water for more than a week, although we had electricity. They set up porta-johns in the subdivision...... and I am sure that the neighbors enjoyed watching me RUN to it in the morning in my nightgown! The cleanup was awful..... mold, and bacteria in all the houses that were flooded..... GALLONS and GALLONS of bleach were needed to help with getting things sanitized. BUT WE GOt THRU IT........ and Houston will TOO!!!!! It will just take time, and everyone pitching in with what they can....... even a donation of a few gallons of bleach or a box of garbage bags means something!!!! So...... chillout... then later, check on the neighbors..... they may need a piece of plastic or an extra hand at lifting some of those limbs outta their patios! ........ Enjoy your frozen dinner...(I kinda like the "hungry man" ones! .)... I am so glad that you have power and that it is STILL FROZEN!!! .........by the way, I was SO VERY IMPRESSED that you put some extra nails in your patio fence and it made such a difference...... GIRL POWER RULES!!! ........ good thinking Vi!!! Take Care!!!

oh dear porta pottys in the hood ?? Now that IS scary ....and I know what you mean about clean up - I tried to move the big branch blocking my front door and it wouldn't budge and ya - GIRL POWER RULES - I didn't hear any hammering cept my own the day of Ike... and yo and behold - I still have my fence for the girls.....since we can't walk outside .....it's even more important to me. I went out to see if I could help yesterday afternoon and no one wanted to touch their mess - I guess when you live in an apartment it's not the same as a house. Me - my new apt is MY HOME .....I don't want to see all this mess but I guess I'm stuck with it till someone gets management out here - I can't do it alone. I can't drive either (we aren't susposed to anyway) due to all the boards and glass & tree limbs everywhere - I don't understand people sometimes - you hear such great stories about neighbors helping neighbors - but it's not happening in my apt complex.

| Good Sunday morning to everyone. Already been out to breakfast with friends from out of town then they came over to visit with Maggie and Hot Rod. Gonna say indoors today (got everything done in yard yesterday-phew!) cause it is a hot one. It is 93% humidity today and gonna be in the 90's. That's hot and sticky. Yuk! Probably going to grill a bunch of veggies on the grill for dinner...love, love, love grilled fresh veggies, yummy.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Prayers for everyone who is recovering from Ike. Today I went with my 2 older cousins (2 of my cousins, their husbands, their kids, and my aunt) and my best friend to Great Adventure. It was really fun. I Great Adventure. Then on the ride home (about 45 minutes) my friend and I sang the whoooole time haha. It was quite amusing.
