| Quick check in after the storm I just got phone and internet back, parts of Baton Rouge are still without power......it was a hard hit. Thank GOD no matter the damage everyone is still here. I was in a bad car accident two days ago....thank GOD again at the LAST second I decided to leave the girls with Shane...I had dressed them and put Sydney's stroller in the car to take her out . Everything in the front seat of the car ended up in both of their car seats. I was hit full speed from behind while sitting at a red light, pushed into the car in front of me.....not sure yet if the guy who hit me had insurance or not, I PRAY he does.......I need my car fixed and a rental while they fix it. Its amazing how bad you feel on the third day. I just had her 3 weeks ago and I hit my head, elbows and stomach on the stearing will, it flared up all my back and neck injuries, I just hope it didn't cause anymore. I will do a MRI after I can lay flat. Anyway, I really missed you....going to try to see if I can get a picture of the girls in. Sydney weighs 7.14 now. Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Wow, you sure have had a week. Sounds like you've kept up your spirits, so that's good news! Good luck recovering, and I hope the guy has insurance.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | WOW - I just checked the stats on those without power - Information as of Sept. 13, 2008, 7 p.m. CST Total number of customers: 2.26 million Total customers restored: 112,000 Total customers with power: 270,000 (12 percent of total customers) Total customers without power: 1.99 million (88 percent of total customers) I'm like 15 mins from downtown houston and only lost power during the hurricane. We are having a downpour of rain right now (Sunday morning) so PLEASE pray for those who have no AC or lights - it's raining so hard they can't even open a window right now Angela - you are a very lucky girl ....I'm so glad your ok and weren't hurt worse |

| Hey V I will pray.....I have family in Texas so had been watching Ike close. Its terrible.......a generator helps alot, but can only do so much IF you can find gas and afford to wait in a 4 hour gas line......I really don't care if we get one after seeing how hard it was for my Aunt to get gas to run it. I am glad to hear you are ok..and that you did not have those two beuatiful babies with you..what a nice pic of the two together..big sis looks so darn proud. Also I cannot imagine those people who have no air in this weather. I think of them all so much. I pray the hydro is restored soon.. anne |

| Angela, so glad that you are ok.... it has been quite rough around these parts... our generator SAVED ME! I had a hysterectomy 4 days before the hurricane hit and I could not have done it without our generator and portable AC...our power was out for 8 days so that was such a saving grace for me... it was a little difficult getting the gas, but it was sooo worth it if you planned it right I dont know how I survived hurricane seasons before without the generator! V, I have posted on the other threads.. I am so glad you are OK and the girls are safe.. d

| Wow, I thought trying to recover from giving birth and taking care of an infant was hard during that storm.....I am glad you made it through.....it had to have been very rough after that sugery. You will have to help with gas tips if we get a generator b/c I said never would Istay in line 4 - 5 hours for gas and look at the gas prices to boot. DH mentioned geting one that ran off natural gas. Angie |
