| Please Pray for Mmy Family (Hurricane Ike) My entire family lives in Houston and has decided not to evacuate. I am really worried and scared for them. What scares me the most is that we will mostly likely lose all communtication capablities with them once the storm hits, and I hate not knowing whats going on. I would also like to keep everyone in the path of the storm in my thoughts and prayers. Last edited by Rockster's Mom; 09-11-2008 at 06:10 AM. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Hey there - to ease your fears - I'm in Houston and staying put. We did get let go today from work and I'm boarding up as best I can - but IF this storm hits as hard as they say - it's the coastal parts that are in big trouble. I'm scared too ALL THE BEST TO EVERYONE in IKES path - I can't believe how huge this one is....the satellite is just plain scary to look at. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | oh wow - I'm watching the news right now - parts of Bayou Vista (Galveston) are already having storm surges & serious street flooding - the sun is OUT and Ike isn't even close to hitting us ... this is not good. Galveston is an hour from Houston - My sister had a mandatory evac at 7 am this morning - looks like my mom may have a full house this weekend. I don't know if I can do this alone. My prayers for all ....KEEP SAFE EVERONE ! |

| V, Please be careful if you are staying! If anything happens to you and you need to call someone to help I am PMing you my phone #s DO NOT HESITATE TO USE THEM! Even if it is just to talk. If you want to some somewhere south of the storm and bring your girls you are welcome to stay with me. Corpus Christi is not going to be in the direct path and we will be on the southern side. To those of you staying*** Please wear Identifaction bracelets. Go to your local ER and get a red allergy bracelet and write your name, any allergies and an emergency contact OUT OF YOUR AREA! You don't think you will get seperated from your family but you can VERY easily! MAKE your children and animals wear them. It is so simple to do and can save a lot of heartache. Quote:
