Castle (Small).JPG Castle Winter (Small).JPG Neuschwanstein Castle, in the Bavarian Alps of Germany. Seven weeks after the death of King Ludwig II in 1886, Neuschwanstein was opened to the public. Every year 1.3 million people visit the Castle, 6000 visitors a day during the summer. | Gorgeous castles!!! Lets see, Im from NH. We are famous for our granite and also for the old man of the moutain. One of the moutains had this rock formation for years and years and years that was shaped just like a face. They called it the Old man in the moutain. Unfortunately it fell a couple years ago very sad. The state had the image on everything, from highway signs, license plates, etc... Here is a before pic and an after pic, I guess they are trying to figure out how to rebuild something similiar to it.

| No pics here but Michigan is known for the Macinack Bridge, the Motor City/Henry Ford, the Great Lakes and being able to show people where you live by pointing to a spot on your hand.
