| I thought Heather would be popular in 1986 for Tn considering how many were in my dtr's class. This site was also interesting from there: Top 5 Baby Names Over the Last 100 Years

| That is interesting. I don't want to have kids for awhile, but I already have their names picked out :-) and none are on that list, which I don't mind, because I want their names to be "different". Ashley was the 2nd most popular name in the state of Georgia (my birth state) in 1987.

| Be careful with different. My name, Johnna is different and my hubby's name is spelled different Jimmie. So we named dtr Heather Nicole. Very simple. She decided to go by Niki when she hit middle school cause there were so many Heather's, go figure

I always hated my name cause it was so common. I'd walk down the hallway and I'd hear someone say "Ashley" and 5431.346 of us would turn around.

| I am glad to see more traditional names, and no "made up" ones. |
