| Steam Cleaning I really need to do something to clean the carpets in my basement. They're basically just scraps of carpet thrown down because it's just a concrete floor down there. Most of the floor is covered except a little area for storage, and the area with the washer, dryer, and furnace. Anyways, Layla has her own little area down there with her tent and toys, and a little mat and a pee pad. She RARELY uses the pad!!! The pad upstairs she always always pees on, and usually poops on (sometimes the poop just lands beside the pad), but downstairs she thinks it's just easier to run to the bottom of the stairs and do her business right there! I've been using Get Serious which is supposed to get rid of pheremones so she doesn't want to keep peeing there, but she doesn't stop. Actually sometimes she'll just pee anywhere. Last night I was doing laundry and I stepped right into a little carpet puddle right by the washing machine. I don't want to confine her to just upstairs again, because she does GREAT using her upstairs pad when nobody else is around, but she seems to be shy in front of people. When anyone was over, she'd just run to my bedroom and do her thing right on my laminate floor. So at least having an extra one downstairs, she has privacy. Anyways, I'm just really sick of walking into my house to a stale pee smell floating up from downstairs My mom has a carpet cleaner and I was going to ask her to bring it the next time she comes to visit. Would that do the trick in lifting out the pee stains? Could I add some of my Get Serious cleaner to it? Please, I'll take any suggestions!!!!

| I don't know if you have Stanley Steamers in your area, our friend just used them to clean their carpets and they said it got out every stain, even old stubborn ones. Were about to put our house on the market, so were going to use them too because we have some stains that we go over and over and they won't come out. My fiance used a carpet shampooer this summer and even that didn't work!

| There are steam cleaners here for sure, I've usually just rented a cleaner from a store to clean my carpets when I move out of a rental place. But I just thought it would be much cheaper for my mom to bring her carpet cleaner with her, IF it'll work!
