YT Addict | found out i'm Pre-diabetic today.. so basically this means all my blood sugar and glucose levels are elevated, i'm now on a diabetic diet, i have some pills i have to take, and i have to exercise everyday. Ohh, and i dont have to take insulin or test my blood sugar throughout the day, just take my pills. i dont think the diet will be that bad, i mean, i already know i eat too many starches and drink too much soda, and thats what i have to cut way back on. the way i see it, dieting and exercising means i'll lose weight! which would be amazing! and i'll look great come wedding day =D the end. lol |

| I'm borderline diabetic too. I took the class and everything but my sugar level is like 60-100 so that's like barely any sugar. I think it was the frappucino everyday for like 5 years that did me in. |

| You are young, you can turn it around. I am glad they caught it early. Stick with the diet, even if its just little things like stopping sugary sodas, then thats one step. My husband is a full blown type 1 diabetic since childhood, so his pancreas just doesn't work ... no diet about it for him, he has to take insulin. But I worked with many type 2's and diet & exercise will really help you out and turn things around early. Good luck & congrats on your wedding! PS: I've lost 32 lbs on Weight Watchers (online) in just a few months. Maybe you can ask your doctor about WW. It's really easy to stick to. I was surprised! |

| You are young and so you really need to start to take care of yourself now! You can keep this all at bay, if you follow the diet and exercise and take care of yourself. If you don't though, you may develop full blown diabetes and that is not good. I know you can do it! Good luck!

| Im sorry to hear this. A friend of mine recently has been trying to get pregnant... it was not happening so she went to the doctors and they found out she is also pre-diabetic. The doctors won't help her with fertility treatment until she has her levels under control again and loses some weight. Its hard for her to hear this but its much better that she caught it now (shes only 26) and can make the changes to her lifestyle while still being young enough to have kids in a couple years! Good Luck to you! I know you can do this and be great at it.

| Sorry to hear this but you can do it. Once you make the cuts then when you decide to taste those once good things. Well your taste buds change and you won't want it anymore. I hate french fries at fast food places. But hard habit to break I order them, take one bite and then throw them away. I can't stand the taste. Just know if you do it now it will get better. Good luck. Stay positive.

| Its good you are finding out now and are getting on the proper diet. My Sister in law is very diabetiic and takes insulin. She worrys me because she doesnt watch what she eats or trys to lose weight She has severe headaches all the time and I know thats why. She has a young Daughter and I am concerned she is not going to be here to raise her. Shes very hard headed so you cant say anything about it to her
