| Uggg Okay so yesterday really really bit. I took my kids to school and on the way back my mustang decided it was time to run funky. I was heart broken, she's my baby! So I come home and I get her towed to the shop and in the middle of that my son's dr calls and says due to his last visit to the dr (he has mitral valve defect and it has to be replaced every three to five years) he was running fever Sunday and monday so he stayed home. We went to the dr monday and they found his blood pressure was even lower then it was a few days before. So they listened to his heart and it was not a good outcome. So then I get a call from his Cardiologist and they tell me they need him in at one pm. OKay broken car, other car is at work with man, so I"m screwed. My lovely neighbor and her girlfriend came over and told me to just take their mini van and keep it until my car was home again. So I leave the mustang with them to meet the tow truck, and I go off to get my son from school. I get him, even though I called an hour before they did not have him ready, and only had 15 mins to get to the dr 30 minutes away. FINALLY we get there and they do the most in depth exam of his heart yet. I panic and they tell me they won't tell me why. But I can tell by the tech's face and the sound of his heart as they played it, omg it sounded terrible and is making this "burp" noise after a few beats. So they tell me, "We will call you"... so I go home grab my daughter from school, LATE, and head back here. I get here and with in minutes my phone rings, I jump knowing it is the dr or the car dr telling me bad news... no it was my sister wanting to borrow money. i told her no can do last time I gave them 1200 they did not pay back a dime of it,then I found out they purchased a new computer!!!!! SO they do not get money again. So I go to bed worried about everything, and this morning I wake up to a horrible headache, serves me right for panicking ha ha. The Car Dr has called and my car will be fixed today with luck and will hopefully be under 500 as he is thinking,.. the worst part.. I've heard nothing from my sons dr still on pins and needles He was set to have his valve replaced next week, but may be sooner now. UGGGG So how is your day?

| Oh sweetie you've made me feel silly for complaining about my day. Sending hugs and positive thoughts your way. Please let us know how your son is.

| Wow! What a day - I've had a few of those in my lifetime. I understand the stress of having a child with a heart defect. My middle son had a bi-cuspid aortic valve. We found out his his 18 month "well baby" check up. They finally decided to tell me that he had a murmur. I was so angry that they kept that information from me -- their reasoning was that many children have innocent murmurs and they don't like to overconcern the parents. Well Hells Bells. I am his mother and I have the right to be overconcerned but they DO NOT have the right to withhold vital information about his health. My little one had dental work performed just two weeks prior to that checkup - WITHOUT antiobotics..... My guy is not 25 and is an apprentice welder - doing great with no problems. But I can so vividly rember the stress of the echo cardiograms and ekg's. I'll keep him in my heart and prayers. Glad to hear that your other baby (mustang) will be home soon. |

| Finally the Dr called, his lil heart has suffered damage from the low blood pressure. He will be going in Monday to have the valve repaired, and hopefully he will have a few years out of this one. He will be okay, because he has to be. He is doing well for the moment, just not really active, which is odd for my lil man. thank you for your thoughts, days like these make me happy I can vent. My other baby, is home,in the garage safe and sound and she is running just fine. I'm very happy... I suck at our other car, it's a standard. ha ha Thank you everyone
