| water filters??? I have decided to get a water filter for my home after the water here just continues to get worse and worse, I would like any info from those that have them -any brands & it doesn't matter whether it's just the pitchers or a whole system.... it's just getting crazy-don't drink water out of a bottle w/#7 on it, don't drink aspartame it's poison, buy hormone-free beef... - Is there anything safe anymore?

| We just had a Culligan whole house filter system installed about 1 month ago. It's GREAT! We had awful hard water and lots and lots of lime. The system has completely removed the lime and softened the water. There is a separate system that goes under your kitchen sink with a separate faucet for drinking water. This line also goes to the refrigerator for chilled drinking water and ice. I have been able to cut my dishwasher detergent and laundry detergent by more than half. Before the sytem was installed I couldn't even take a shower without cleaning the doors and walls after use. No more ugly dishes and glasses are crystal clear. Don't even need drying agent now. I highly recommend Culligan.

| Oh, I know what you mean. Our water was ruining everything. I was worried about the hot water heater and the heating element in the dishwasher. It was ruining the silverware and we were afraid to drink the water. We also had a UV light installed with the system. It kills any bacteria there might be in the water. Our house is new too. We have only lived in it for a year. We moved in shortly after construction was complete. The toll free number for Culligan is: 800-438-5595. I hope this helps you some.
