| Beagles with Yorkies!?!? So, I'm going to pick up a Beagle puppy today, not sure if i'm getting male or female, but it they weight about 9lbs right now, and they are 11 weeks old. Does anyone else have a beagle in the house with their yorkie?? Bandit is only 3lbs. I want Bandit to have a playmate but I'm just not sure if a beagle is a good choice or not. I need some opinions please!!

| My husband breeds and shows Beagles. We have none in the house. My little yorkie stud weighs almost four pounds but when I let him out in the yard to play, he goes to the fence where the beagles are and if they could get to each other, they both would be dead. beagles are normally very loving and sweet dogs and the ideal pet for children but as hyper as our yorkies are, I don't think the two in the house is a good mix. | I have 3 yorkies a minpin and a 34 pound beagle in the house. The beagle i thought had a new home before i got my yorkie babies but it backfired so of course she is still here. Anyways the beagle was a little older than a year when we brought the yorkies home and the beagle was scared to death of the yorkies at first. But after a couple of days they all become great friends the sleep together and play together and are well just GREAT together. If you like i can get pictures posted where they are sleeping together it is so cute oh and our smallest is only 4 pounds and she has never ever once even tried to hurt any of them.

YT 500 Club Member | My daughter has two Beagle mixes (not exactly the same thing) that seem to have a Beagle personality. They both love Yorkies and other dogs. My Yorkie doesn't return the love, but that is because she doesn't like most other dogs. Spoiled I guess.

| Thanks for everyones replies!! I think we have decided to wait and get another yorkie. We let another dog stay with us for a few days that was not a yorkie and Bandit didnt like it too much but he adores other yorkies, so I think we are going to play it safe and get another yorkie. We planned on getting another one anyways so we will just wait until the time is right and go with that. We cant wait until its time for another one and we dont want to wait too long so that way they can do alot of growing up together. Bandit is only 5 months old so hopfully in the next couple months we will get another one. DH got layed off so getting another one has been pushed back a little but we cant wait. Again thanks to everyone who replied!!
