BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | Muscular Dystrophy I started taking care of a elderly man who has Muscular Dystrophy 2 weeks ago. It's a 24 hour shift job. I just can not believe how awful this disease is. This poor man has been in a wheelchair for over 30 years. Bless his heart, he is the most sweetest and kindest man ever! His wife has passed away and they had no children. If anyone has ever dealt with this disease I would like to hear from you, any advice would be appreciated. Coming in August, I will be having more days and I would like to know how you handle this disease. |

| I have no advice or anything, I just wanted to say that you are wonderful taking care of him! What a sad story, you probably brighten his day so much! I wanted to bump this up to see if you can get some advice.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I don't know anything about it but just glad you will be able to help take care of him. It must be so scary to have to rely on people 24/7 and so great when you get someone like you.

I have been taking care of the elderly since I was 18, I started out working in a nursing home and I did that for a year and I hated it! It saddens me to see so many people get so little care in a nursing home.

| how old is he??? People with muscular distophy, as a rule, don't live past their 30's. The muscles in their heart and lungs stop working and they pass away. Are you for sure that is what he has? |

He is pretty good about giving direction. He just does not have hardly any body control or movement. It's just so sad.
