| You can donate it if it's just dyed/colored but not if it's bleached (highlighted or all over bleach). I can't donate mine because I've gotten highlights for forever

| It is so wonderful to hear that many people donate their hair to Locks of Love. When my oldest daughter was 9 she lost all of her hair due to chemo and was completely hairless for almost two years. Although she was very uncomfortable wearing a wig on her head, her classmates were inspired to grow their hair and donate to Locks of Love as well. I still get so emotional when I hear someone else donating because it really touches our hearts. You should be very proud to be able to do this for someone else. I know many women are thanking you. Anna

EDIT: I just found this for starters and they accept basically ALL hair: It is easy to help others with your hair

| I've donated twice. My hair is long enough to donate again, but I don't want to cut my hair quite so short this time, so I will probably let it grow another 6 months so it isn't so short after I donate. |

| I am very proud to say that my son Derek, at the age of 11, donated 11 inches to Locks of Love. It took him 5 years to grow his hair long enough to donate. When he was six, he saw a young bald boy at a basketball game. After I explained why the boy didn't have any hair and told him about the Locks of Love program, he started to grow his out so he could donate it. When we moved and he had to attend a new school, kids made fun of him for his long hair. One boy constantly teased him but Derek never gave up. When the day came for him to cut his hair, the local news crew interviewed him and taped the hair cut. He didn't tell his classmates about the hair cut so he could surprise them. Boy, were they surprised! His teacher taped the news report and Derek was a celebrity for a day in his class.

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I did it the 1st time and my grandma stole my hair, the 2nd time i cut it i lost it, idk where it is still. I'm thinking of cutting it again cause it grows so fast! But i just got the japanese straightener, is that fine? Also my hair is naturally highlighted, but only a little, why dont they take highlighted hair?
