My granddaughter is also fond of dolls. When she was three, we had a 'nursery' here at the house. She would wrap all of her babies...8 - 10 of them, and put them in rows on the floor and sssshush all of us because it was nap time. She was a good mommie too. | |

| I'm freaked out over lifelike dolls. When I was young, I had a doll that actually let out a long sigh-like hum. It scared the heck out of me. I actually had very violent nightmares after that all related to the doll. Why did I click on that link?

| Oh, everyone is gonna hate me for this one, but I never liked Barbie dolls. I thought they were too...ummmm...sexual in appearance for the little girls to be playing with. It was the beginning of where we are now. Little girls wearing things that I consider to be too revealing, wearing make-up and such at very young ages, and asking questions like "does this make my butt look cute?" And when Abercrombie and Fitch marketed thong underwear for little girls I thought that was so irresponsible! And a pedophiles dream. My granddaughter turned ten two days ago, but wants to look much older. There is far too much out there for them to emulate that I consider too much and it is getting worse by the day. I am so thankful to not be raising kids. It is stressful enough for me to watch my grandchildren dealing with all of the stuff that is constantly shoved in their faces on television, movies and games. I am so sick of viagra ads on tv that I could croak. But.... back to the dolls....I would never watch those killer/possessed type doll movies. They were far too freaky for me too! But those that look like babies...I just love babies!! So I just love those dolls. __________________________________________________ ___ |

| I loved baby dolls as a little girl but those really creep me out. There's something almost corpse-like about them. They just seem too real to not have any life.
