Donating YT 14K Club Member | I need help with trendy shoes question I've been out of the fashion scene since I've had kids so I need some help, here. My daughter is 10 and I've bought all she needs for school except shoes. For those of you that know and live in a larger city, what brand name of sneakers/tennis shoes do you suggest? I want her to be in style and look cool to her friends. The only thing that I could find in her size is Sketchers. Price doesn't matter so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Sketchers are all over the stores in Houston - this is a VERY big city - I have some and they're pretty cool....good luck - this is a good way to find out what to get her - there's lots of young people on here. |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Thanks, Villette! The last 2 years, I've bought her Sketchers. I know that towards the end of last year, several girls in her class were wearing the Phat Farm shoes but I don't know if they're in this year. I'm not sure but I don't think that Candie's makes a sneaker at least I couldn't find any.

| even though i'm still young (at 19).. i don't really know what's "in" in the fashion scene. I do know that young girls might like sketchers (i know i sure did when I was 10).. i also liked adidas' , and i love the reebok classics. right now i really like puma's (the colored ones).. the only shoes i really wear are my chuck taylors they are pretty trendy! |

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Thanks, Lenora! Problem is, I didn't see anything in her size. She has a small foot and wears a size 3. I'll keep looking, though!

| Ok, I despise Sketchers. My apologies to those of you who like them. I think that they are "played out" meaning that they're EVERYWHERE and everyone has them. I think they're ok for ten year olds, but anyone older is a thumbs down. Kids here wear Converse All-Stars, Puma, Kenneth Cole, Baby Phat, Kangaroo's, etc What size shoe does she wear? Here's a cute pair of Pumas. My ten year old niece has these (I bought them ): http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/7188261/c/49039.html Here's some Kenneth Coles that are really cute in two diff colors: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/7398182/c/39109.html http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/7398182/c/49057.html

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Has anyone heard of the K Swiss new line in which you can change out the colors on the sides of the shoes? I have heard about it but haven't been able to find them even to see what they look like.
