| Touching Story & Video Please read below. . .then watch the video. A son asked his father, 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me?' The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad, let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' . For those who didn't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195 kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island . Father and son went on to complete the race together. View this: GodTube.com - My Redeemer Lives - Team Hoyt

| Aren't they AWESOME???? I used to see them every year (or almost every year) at the Hawaii Ironman.....you cannot even imagine how grueling the Hawaii Ironman is, no matter how many times you've done it....the wind on the bike leg has actually knocked people off their bikes at times....and these two just keep on keepin' on....the most inspiring thing is, that there have been times when Dick and Ricky didn't finish in the 17 hours that you have to be an official finisher, but awhile after midnight, when some of the other competitors are trickling in, here will come Dick and Ricky. And a lot of people stay at the finish line just to watch them come in and to applaud them. It makes me cry just thinking about it. I am proud to say that the Hoyts are collegues of mine; they are what inspires the best in all of us esp. when you're out there in intense heat and thinking "I HURT SO BAD, maybe I should stop"....then you see them on the other side of the road and realize how lucky you really are

| What a "pick me up" on a rotten day!! Oh my gosh, Angi.... I went from smiles, to goosebumps, to tears... more smiles and an all out bawl fest by the time it was over!! How beautiful.... such an inspiration to us - when we ourselves, in our every day lives - feel like so many things are holding us down - and back... yet are soooooo small in reality.... Thank you for sharing this!!!
