| Fever for no reason? Ok I KNOW there must be a reason, it just isn't obvious. My youngest DD (5 yrs) felt warm when I put her to bed last night. I took her temp and it was 102.6! I gave her children's motrin then took her temp again an hour later. It was 98.9. She slept all night and woke up around 6:45 this morning. She felt hot so I took her temp and it was 103.4! Gave her motrin and now its right back down to normal. She is acting fine. She's drinking fine. She says she isn't hungry. Her only complaint other than being really thirsty is that her legs hurt when she walks. I'm going to call her doctor as soon as they open and see what they think. Its just so ODD that she seems to feel fine. Usually with her you KNOW when she is sick.

| This happened with my 18 mo old granddaughter a couple of weeks ago. She ran that unexplained fever for 2 days and never acted sick in any other way. My daughter called the doc too and they said just to watch her and if nothing else occurred except the fever, to give motrin and monitor. No other symptoms ever occurred - so we have no clue what it was - just a virus, I guess.

| That's what the dr said when I called. Just some mild virus going around and the only apparent symptom is fever. She said it usually goes away in 24 - 48 hours. If she still has a fever Friday to call and they will work her in.

| Sending a prayer up for your little girl to feel better. I hate other children are sick too, but it always helps to know there is something just going around. Angie |
