Yup! She is the BIG 18! OMG now I do feel old!

I had her when I was 15, it was a struggle, but I don't regret it, her and I are best friends.

I wrote her a letter when she was just a little over a year old and I stuck it in her baby book, she nor I have read it since. I wrote on the envelope that she can't read it till she turns 18 and that's today!

The 1st thing she said to me today was "do I get to read my letter?"
I could just cry, my daughter is my world and I'm not ready for her to be all grown up. She still is in school, so she won't be moving out anytime soon, I'm not looking forward to that day!

I also had my son when I was 15 and it was very hard on me. My son will be 18 in October

I'm already having a hard time with that....but he says he's not moving out anytime soon...lol Boys tend to stick around longer.lol Well I hope! I know I'll be a mess whenever he leaves home.

I had my 1st daughter when I was 15,(she will be 34 this Oct.) we are very close also. And so much alike. I am like you, it's was rough time's being a single mom but wouldn't change a thing, and she is a very strong woman today raising 2 son's. Cherish each day with your daughter.

Happy Birthday!!!! That letter reminds me of a letter my dad wrote to me when I was little and I still have it!!! I framed it and made a copy that i carry in my wallet

She will treasure that letter more than you realize~

I was sitting and watching her play with her toys and she had such a big imagination! So I decided I would write to her.

She has not read it yet, we are planning on celebrating her B-Day this coming weekend since our transmission went out in our van, we are kinda trapped at home! UGH!

Happy Birthday to you both. Their birthday's are not theirs only..they are great markers of our lives as well.

Give yourself a big old pat on the back for raising her to be the best. I can't imagine how much crying is going to come of that letter

Awww she's so pretty! I hope she had a great day! Don't worry, i know you're sad she is getting older but she will always be your baby

My mom gets sad i am getting older and thinks i will just leave her and forget about her but even if i am not home for a day i miss her already and just have to call her all the time
