| What supplements do you take? I was hoping to join a fitness/weight loss center in my area (Metabolic Research Center)...I have toyed w/ the idea for a long time. So, today, I thought I would do a good search about it, before I put so much money into it. It seems like, they really push supplements and some sort of drink mix. But they do have a cookbook, have meetings, etc. Anyway, I was thinking...I can do it on my own and NOT have to buy their high price supplements. I found a site where a group of people are tracking their progress on this plan...and most of them take Flax (or Primrose or fish) Oil and a multi-vitamin. Some add Liquid Minerals or Corti Trim (don't know what that is), or All Day Weight Loss (?), etc. I have been eating healthier, etc....just needed good supplements to help. So.... do you take any supplements or diet aids, which ones and why? (what are the benefits, where do you get them, price, etc).

| I take a multi-vitamin and extra calcium but not necessarily as a diet aid. I've been on them for about a year now and I did notice that if I take them at night I have a hard time sleeping (not sure why). Good Luck with whatever you decide to do~ |

| I would not take supplements with out the direction of a dietitian or doctor who specializes in the area of diet and supplements. You can knock your system out of wack and do some serious damage to your the health of your body. Of course the common over the counter multi vitamin is ok but I wouldn't do too much more than that. | Not to hijack the thread, but you probably have trouble sleeping after taking the multi-vitamin because of the vitamin b's that are in it. Morning is probably best.

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | When I spoke to my endocronologist and the breast surgeon they both told me the best thing is for a good multivitamin (I am taking womens' one a day) and also a calcium supplement in addition to that. I was told if you eat the right meals and take your vitamins it's better than any of those dietary supplements that may throw your metabolism out of wack. Which will cause you to gaine more weight.

| Please be careful with those diet pills or supplements. My brother is overweight & took some of them a few years ago, they made him have seizures. |
