| My name is Erin and I'm adicted to... shopping for my furbutts!!!! Whether it's here on YT or in local stores! OMG, I need to stop and I just can't DH is about to throw my butt to the curb, ok we live in the country so to the ditch I should say! Wonder if I can get the For Sale sections blocked from me for a while, lol! Good thing I will be working from home soon, with my new mentor (a seamstress of 30yrs!) who is teaching me how to sew!!! She is the wife of my DH co-worker. I am just estatic about all this as is she! It has been really hard to hold in my news. As some of you may remember my previous threads on how bad I have wanted to learn to sew, then I finally got my new sewing machine. We are going to work together and build a website and sell custom clothes for furbabies of all breeds Also we have talked to 3 local pet boutiques who are interested in buying some dresses/harnesses/shirts from us once we get up and going. How exciting is that?!?!?! At least then, I will be able to make my own stuff and save some money, lol! Can you guys see the excitement in my typing!!! Anyone lese share this addiction witt me???? Please let me know I'm not alone |

| I have a cheap sewing machine and I really want a better one, but I feel like I had to prove that I would really use it first, so I have been sewing like crazy. I have made Sammy a bunch of harnesses and a blanket and some other stuff. I'm trying to learn to work from patterns and I think I'm going to take a class. I don't know anyone who can mentor me though - that's cool! Have fun and good luck!!!

| Good luck with your new business venture. I'm a beginner at sewing as well....I found it's good to start simple...I'm still in the "straight line" phase. lol. I've already made a few blankets, next I want to try weewee wraps, and then I already have a doghouse pattern that I want to try. There's so much I want to do, but then I get so frustrated when my thread gets jammed in the machine. lol Good luck! Can't wait to see the clothes you come up with! Make sure to make some cute items for the boys....they always seem to get left out of having cute clothes.

| Yes, I totally agree about having a mentor to guide me through everything I need to know! I feel very lucky to have this opportunity My DH came home one day and apparently he had been talking with his co-worker about this for a couple of weeks. The co-worker had then gone home and talked to his wife and she said "Well get her over here! I would love to teach her!" It was her idea about trying to start up something on the internet and I said, well YES!!! I can't think of anything I would rather try and focus on doing/learning and still be able to stay home with my family, lol! I am so excited to start my new venture Of course she will be doing all the sewing at first with the clothing, as I'm sure you wouldn't want me to, lol! I really am not very good I spend more time fixing my sewing machine from jamming up than I do actual sewing, lol! But after a while when I feel confident enough and after many of hours of practice on my own furbutts things I will be doing what I am able to Time will teach, and I have the time! Thanks for the well wishes everyone! And yes, boys things are a big must for me. I have only a 1/3 of stuff for Koda as I do Kammie so we need to fix that, lol! My mentor (gee, I really need to ask her if she minds me saying her name, lol) is working on the boy ideas right now |
