| DUG has issues For those who don't know DUG = Darn Unwanted Guest Ok, I am venting. My patience is so thin you can see through it with this particular subject. I have nothing against on line games. However, DUG is OBSESSED with them. I mean he honestly needs gamers anonymous or something. He isn't as bad about EverQuest this time. This time it is something called Second Life. He talks about his house, his job/business, even his "marriage" CONSTANTLY. I finally asked him why he didn't go live with his SO in his beautiful house on the beach so he could be closer to his "job". Then added, "oh yeah, IT ISN'T REAL!" I wasn't trying to be mean even though it came out that way. I don't know how to explain him to ya'll without sounding mean and I don't want to sound that way because I honestly believe he needs help. Not just about gaming either. I believe he's got some other issues going on. He is 46 years old and my 11 year old son understands more about life than DUG. DS11 is more mature than DUG. DH has been telling me for years something isn't quite "right" with DUG and I am beginning to look past my anger and see what he means. I've always just thought he was lazy and selfish. Its one of those things that isn't going to sound right trying to explain. You just kinda have to witness it to fully understand what I mean. He has the mentality of a child. *sigh*

| If you think he may actually have a mental problem, he could probably be tested to verify it. He might be eligible for some type of aid...medical or financial, to help him out.

| Because he had no place left to go except the street. He has until September 1st to be out, but honestly I think he needs to be in some kind of assisted living facility. I do not think he is capable of supporting/taking care of himself. He has no concept of money or time management or any life skills.

Plus, how do you sit someone down and explain to them that you think they have some serious mental health issues and need to be evaluated?
