| I'm grateful to have the sirens here...they let you know when a tornado has been spotted and that it is heading your way so you can take cover. They also let you know when a severe storm is headed your way...one with large hail and high winds...so you can get to a protected area. We live in tornado alley and I take a little extra comfort in seeing those sirens around town and I'm thankful for the person who hits the alarm when it's needed! |

| Last tuesday nite the sirens went off 3 times throughout the nite. That coupled with very loud thunder and a nervous dog made for a very long, sleepless nite. I'm thankful for the sirens but, geesh!

| Marci, is it a tornado watch or a warning? A watch means that there are weather conditions that could result in tornadoes. A warning means there has been a tornado or a funnel cloud spotted. A watch is precautionary, and we have them a lot...the warnings are scary, and that's when to take cover.

| Is she usually nervous through storms? Oliver has gotten really bad. He trembles and is glued to me throughout the storm. Maybe I should try something.

| Hey, be careful and keep an eye on whether it changes from a watch or to a warning. We had really bad weather here last week and we had a tornado warning for few days in a row (off and on). I was freaking out because it was just me and babies here alone. Thank goodness we just had bad storms and that was enough for me. All of babies hate when it storms but Snoot is just terrible. He pants like crazy, scratches me and won't hold still even when I'm trying so hard to hold him. Anyways, hope the weather clears up for you guys.

Therapy Dog Donating Member | Marci I know how you are feeling....man I hate storms and we just got a severe storm warning just now and it's so black outside...yikes. Now we hear thunder and the wind is blowing. I hope it's just a bad storm and nothing else. We are watching the radar too! Be safe everyone who is having storms right now.

| Anywhere in Texas, there is the possibility of tornadoes. It's just a fact of life here.
