| Anyone stayed at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Disney?? Anyone stayed at the Swan and Dolphin Resort in Disney World? Which one did you stay at and what did you think? We have a reservation at the Dolphin in December and if a discount code doesn't come out (Which I doubt will happen! Don't even get me started on Disney's new rate policy and it's "holiday rates.") for a Disney hotel, then it'll be where we are staying.

| I havent stayed there but I read one is better than the other one. But I cant remember which one but I am sure I read it on the Dis boards. I know the Holiday rates are ridiculous. We were planning on going there for Christmas this year but I dont know if we will get there.

I'm really disappointed how they changed their rates. Now even weekends are more than weekdays. It was nice before because you got the rate for your entire stay based on your first night. So if we checked in on the last night of value season, we got value season rate for all the nights. Now anymore! The difference between the same hotel with the same dates from 2007 to 2008... over $600.00. /rant

| When you stay at the Swan or Dolphin do you not get EMH? My husband said he wanted to try it out next time but read that you couldn't use them. We weren't sure if it was true or not.

Most, but not all, of the amenities are the same. I guess you could kind of think of it as a Disney hotel but not Disney-owned.

| We stayed at the Swan in 1997 and it was FABULOUS! It was part of the disney cruise where we stayed 3 days in the hotel and saw all the theme parks free and then went on the cruise for 4 days. It was one of the best vacations ever!! We loved the boat that comes up to the back of the hotel and will drop you off at the Disneyworld complex. It is kind of a shuttle just for the ones that stay at the hotels. The pools was great too. The food was expensive and none of the meals were includes so we went to Burgar King and McDonalds a LOT! LOL!! If you stay at the hotel, you can get into the theme parks an hour earlier than the public too. We always ran to Space Mountain and rode it about 15 times before the public got there...it was so worth it and it was cooler in the morning too. |

I had heard that the food at the hotel was insanely expensive so we won't be eating there. I like eating in the parks anyway. I can't wait to take the boat too!! We stayed at a different Disney hotel in December and they had a boat that went to DTD and it was so much fun!

| Hey Kyle....my sister actually used to wor there so I have stayed at the Swam many times. It is the nicer of the two.....but highly over rated if you ask me. I know you are a huge Disney fan though so I am sure you will love it and have fun. Make sure you and Matt let me know when you are coming down....we have got to get together once.

| Hello! We stayed at the Swan about 10 years ago and it was very nice. My daughter enjoyed the pool and I think there was a volleyball area. Hope you have fun, whatever you decide!

Donating YT Addict | I have stayed at both...The Swan is much smaller than the Dolphin but I loved them both. They seem to be a more of adult resorts than the other resorts. They both are my favorites along with the Polynesian I loovvveee Disney

| I stayed at the Swan a few years ago on a business trip. It was a beautiful hotel....my complaint: WAYYYY too big. There was a ton of walking to get anywhere. I am soooo not a Disney fan, and I am a freak in my family because the rest of them go back over and over. My one sister even has a time share there. She took my kids last year because she said they had to go and she knew I'd never take them! Anyway, it's an insanely expensive hotel but the service is Disney quality. I will say, nothing like Disney service, but that's the only positive thing I have to say about Disneyworld!
