| Anyone Watch "Survivor: Vanuatu"?? Couple of Sundays ago, I was strongly in my "knitting" mode, so I made my boyfriend take me to Longs Drugstore to buy some knitting supplies so I could knit while he watched football ( ) And guess who we saw at the checkout line?? It was Chad, the Survivor guy with the one fake leg, with his little daughter sitting in the cart, buying cough syrup!! I had no shame whatsoever and went up there and started talking to him, got his autograph. He was totally nice, and looked super young and fit in person!! Just thought I'd share that w/ you all! It's so rare that I meet any celebrities. |

| I'm a HUGE Survivor fan! I can't believe you were able to meet Chad!! Lucky you - he seemed so down to earth on the show and I'm glad that he really was!! Yay for you!! I wanted Twila to win that one, the next one starts February 17th-ish...

| I would have been happy if Twila won too, but it was more important to me that Scout or Eliza didn't win. I COULDN'T STAND Eliza!! And why should Scout win? Scout didn't do didly-crap on the island!!! Chad was really nice. His daughter was beautiful!! She was about two years old, a sweet round face with platinum blonde hair and blue-blue eyes. Where is Vandenberg, CA? I'm in Oakland...No. 1 drug capitol of the United States! |

| Oh Geeeezzzzzzzz!! Do NOT get me started on Eliza - I seriously was ready to throw something at the TV SO many times! Ugh! I really didn't like her! And I agree with you on Scout, she in no way deserved to win! Vandenberg is actually an Air Force Base on the central coast (San Louis Obispbo, Solvang, Pismo Beach, Lompoc, and Santa Maria may be towns more familiar) We love it here, especially now that it's stopped raining!!

| We went to Pismo Beach last year and rented ATVs! It was so scary, I almost flipped my ATV on a super steep sand dune. Anyway, to make matters worse, the person at the ATV shop told me to drive my regular car straight onto the beach and to park it there. I had a little Miata, not made for sand or anything off-road, and we got stuck in the sand about twenty times, and my wheels were kicking up sand and my boyfriend and I didn't know what to do. I was so embarrassed as people stopped and pointed and laughed at us. Then these people with a big SUV came and tied my car to their SUV and towed us the whole way back!!! |

| My parents and I used to go camping there all the time in their 5th wheel - It's still probably my favorite beach in the world - I promise it does get better than the ATV incident! LOL -

| Junebug just gets all the luck! It's always a good story to see a celebrity in person, just the other day, we were eating sushi and saw a local newswoman at the sushi bar. We knew she was semi-famous (locally at least) and looked the part, but we just didn't recall her name at all. It took us (well mainly me) about an hour to find out who she was via my Treo and it's slooooooooooooow Internet connection as we surfed all the local channel websites in search of a picture of her. |

| haha wait just a second here. Since I'm Junebug's boyfriend, let me add one thing about meeting Chad. Junebug was in such a knitting mode she made a total B-line right past Chad on her way to the yarn section. *I* was the one who saw him and then shouted to Junebug to get back here, "There's Chad!!". In fairness, I didn't want to bother the guy, but Junebug was the one who had no shame and started talking to him. After I saw he was cool, I made my way up there to say hu. Very cool guy, down to Earth, and looked EXACTLY as he did on TV. (I had no idea he did marathons and triathalons, etc.) So that must have been why he was in good shape. Getting back to Survivor, Eliza was totally annoying, but I hated Amy more. She was too smug and controlling, and I love how she acted like Eliza was her little sister, crying and stuff, saying she loved her. Umm....then why did you get caught voting AGAINST her? ahha busted. Speaking of Survivor again, did anyone see this? Survivor millionaire Richard Hatch agrees to plead guilty to tax evasion http://news940.dserv.ca/news.php?cat=7&id=e011857A Crazy!! |

| I hated Amy on the show as well - but then when I watched her on Survivor Live, I eased up a little. I can't believe Hatch tried to evade taxes! What'd he think? No one would know? Thanks for the link - that is TOO crazy! I heard that Jeff Probst (the host) is dating Julie from Vanuatu - I think that is so funny, since she kept saying she had such a crush on him...yup - I'm a total survivor junkie!!

| Speaking of Survivor - I just read that Rob and Amber from Survivor All-Stars will be in the next season of The Amazing Race. I'm not too sure how I feel about that - another shot at a million for them, anyway Just thought I'd pass that along as I'm such a reality TV freak.
