| I'm going to be a Godmother!!! One of my best friends had a beautiful little baby in January, and she's getting him baptized next month. She called me last week to invite me to the baptism, and ask if my fiance and I will be Godparents!! I'm so excited, I had to hold back the tears. She said she trusts us and knows that if anything were to happen, Anthony (her son) would be taken care of with us, she had a whole speech. That made me even more happy, because it wasn't just "oh your my friend be a Godparent"! I haven't been to a baptism since I was younger, so I know I have to get a card and a gift, but does anyone have any ideas on something special I can get him? I want to get him something creative and special just for this occasion, but my mind is blank with ideas I also was going to get my friend a Thank You card for asking us, but would a small gift for her be appropriate as well?

| How sweet of her. I think getting asked to be a Godmother is such a great honor. Congratulations! As for a special gift...what about a thin gold necklace with a small cross on it. And while you are a church you can ask to have it blessed.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congratulations. I just had my 11 year old godchild over the weekend and had a good time with her. As for a gift, Things remembered has some nice engravable gifts.

| Ooh thanks for the ideas guys! I definitly like the cross necklace for my friend, I just don't know if I'll have enough extra money for that. Patti I'm going to go to Things remembered as well and see what they have.

| We got our god daughter a cross necklace from James Avery (I have the matching ring) and then it was blessed when she was baptized. You could get him a baptism frame (then put a picture of the two of you) or a baby bible in blue with his name embossed on it.

| Is there a Christian book store or something of the sorts where you live? Stores like that have lots of special gifts for baptisms... Also Things Remembered has lots of things too...or you could even look at a Hallmark. Some of the bigger stores have a section for baptism gifts.... Hope this helps!!! Congrats!!!
