| Kids Moms - strange sometimes - a Question OK, my daughters asked a neighbor friend to go to the movies with us tonight. She ran home, asked her Mom, came back with a "yes" answer and said that her Mom said it was such a good idea that she was going to go too. I thought, "great". Hours later, the Mom came over to get her daughter and said that they were also going but were going to a different movie. Then as they walked home, another child was dropped off for a sleep over (I saw the bags) and they were all going together. Basically, we were ditched! I'm not mad, but find it very strange. Our daughters hang out alot, so letting our kids go with each other places is not a big deal. I suppose I should have called the mom earlier in the day, but was busy painting in the back yard. It was such a nice day. Does anyone else find this to be weird?

| yes I find that not only weird but a little messed up. as an adult, I really dont care if you ditch me, but when it comes to my children I feel the pain when they are "ditched" or left out. I can assume your daughter was excited about having her friend join you guys and was disappointed when she bailed to hang out with someone else. I could be wrong, but my daughter would have reacted that way and in turn I would feel very bad. I hope your daughter wasn't too upset, Im sure she enjoyed the movies with mom

YT Addict | I wouldn't feel bad until you ask why did she leave. I think it would be appropriate to ask. You never know, the mom who dropped the kid off could have had an emergency and needed someone to keep her child. |

| I think that's kinda harsh on your daughter. Even if it was an emergency, they could've invited your daughter to the movies with them. When I was little that was one thing that really bothered me, having friends that if they were with another friend they couldn't hang out with you

| I have twins. The Mom did invite one of my daughters to go with them, but not the other, which is urking as well. I'm trying to be as good about this as possible. I talked to my girls about it and said that the Mom didn't want her to see the movie we were going to, and we had another person going with us as well (my friend) so we couldn't change our plans. All in all, it worked out OK. We had a great time tonight and enjoyed the movie. I have great daughters, very sweet. We've had a bit of trouble with this neighbor in the past. They are very social and are a bit "clickie." We tolerate as best as possible, but find ourselves asking our girls to give some space for awhile. Thanks for the outlook, everyone. Neighbors, eh? By the way, we saw Narnia. Good flick. Thanks again.
