| I'm sorry...but this IRKS me!!! I just don't get it. but maybe it is just me... Court: Texas wrongly seized sect children - FLDS hearings - MSNBC.com "The appellate court ruled that a chaotic hearing held last month did not demonstrate the children were in any immediate danger, the only measure of taking children from their homes without court proceedings." are you kidding me??? making CHILDREN marry much older men and have sex with them (and from what I understand...IN FRONT OF other people) and having children as soon as they are able to conceive....are you telling me that is not putting a child in danger?????????????????????????? freaking amazing!!!!!!!!!! I really just don't understand.........

| yeah, that sux too. but to me, it's about the kids. and their futures. it seems that the government has forgotten how important it is for the children today to have a good future. THEY are OUR future. period.

| OMG I cannot BELIEVE what I just read!!!! None of these people deserve to have these children!! Those poor young girls....how can they think it is not endangering their lives with being pregnant at 14? They are just a child!! And Incest?!?! saying the word alone is disgusting!! These children (boys and girls) deserve a chance at a normal life and childhood!! I hate to hear of this kind of bull, it makes me so mad to think that these poor kids are being treated this way!! I could go on forever about this so I'm stopping where I am. Thanks for the posting!! |

| why take the kids and separate them from mothers stick them into foster homes scattered all over the place i cant see how this was better for them, why not just take all the men out of the "compound" leave the kids and mothers? They could have tested them (DNA) and had them all together, and it would not have cost the taxpayers 3 million? and counting, after all said and done what a big mess...

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It was the method they used to take the children. An anonymous phone call and they removed the children without any kind of investigation. The information they have...was gotten after the fact. I certainly would not like anyone coming to my home and seizing my child using only an anonymous phone call as the evidence.

i think they did what they could to protect the children at the time....and yes, it is a big mess. i just dont see how the courts can say the kids are not in any danger there. after all they have learned about their lives and conditions.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Mandee...that's not what the court is saying...it said they removed the children BEFORE there was any knowledge of imminent danger. That's all this ruling was over....the children were not removed legally. It's similar to ME calling cps on YOU...and the government marching over and immediately removing your daughter without any proof. I don't agree with their practices...but honestly I have conflicted emotions on how this was handled.

| I believe the CPS did not have a search warrent and that is why the judge ruled they did not have the right to take the kids. I really hope and pray those kids do not have to back to the situation if everything that they are saying is true. |

| The sad thing is, the kids get put back into a dangerous situation because law enforcement and child protective services didn't do things legally. They should have had all their ducks in a row before going in there so that something like this doesn't have to happen. Of course, that's me being a Monday morning quarterback.

What irks ME is so much money is being spent that could have gone to the hungry AND HOMELESS - we have such a big problem with that here and those people did have a home and food - which is way more than the thousands living on the streets that no one helps have. The money involved in this is staggering. I dont agree with their beliefs - but....they could have reached out to someone if they were being abused. | |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | It bugs me because they're breaking all kinds of laws and getting away with it. From kids having sex with old men to polygamy. Even if they did find out illegally, these people are STILL breaking the law (no matter how sad the parents may be or whatever) and I think they should still be punished for it. Do I feel bad for them...yes...but it just really irks me that they are getting away with this.
