| Digital camera opinions My birthday is in July and I want a good digital camera for my birthday. My DH asked me which one and I was clueless, there are so many choices. Let me know if you love yours or if you hate yours and want to warn me. Thanks

| I dont know what you are looking for, but i have a nice point and shoot camera Lumix 10xoptical zoom by panasonic. I love it! I read alot of good reviews about it and have been very happy with it. The model is DMC-TZ3 if you want to google it and check it out. Good luck....i know it can get quite confusing!

| Less than 200 dollars is a reasonable budget for it. I need one to take some pictures of my furbabies.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Do you want a point-and-shoot or a DSLR? Because those are definitely 2 different animals. If it's a point-and-shoot - maybe the Panasonic Lumix DMC FMX-07 (hope I have that right). One of the nice things about this very tiny camera is that it 1) has a LEICA lens 2) has nice zoom 3) Is tiny, portable, and easy 4) Can be found cheap on Ebay or elsewhere. If you want a DSLR - I'd recommend the Nikon D40, D80 or D200 (if you want a sub-pro).

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | I have both a small sony and a regular size in the digital. I do like the smaller for the convenience but I LOVE my bigger becuase the zoom is much better and the picture quality overall I find to be better. Love me some gadgets. So a big thing after deciding what you want to spend is to decide what you want size wise. Always look to get the most megapixels for your money. The higher the megapixels the better quality you will get in pictures.

| I have a Kodak Easy Share Z712 IS. It takes excellent pictures. It's a point and shoot, but you can also use manual settings.

| I love my Canon digital elph. It has a HUGE screen on the back and the pictures are great. I've been very happy with it as a point and shoot. I'm trying to work on hubby to get me a DSLR... but they're SOOO expensive. |

| I have two very great cameras. My point&shoot is a Fujifilm FinePix E900. It's very easy to use, has many great functions (including a video function!) &was about 250$. My digital SLR is a Canon EOS Rebel XTi&cost me around 900$. It's an amazing camera&takes awesome pictures. It has ten megapixels&it also has an Auto function so that you don't have to mess with the Aperture, shutter speed&ISO. It doesn't have a video function though, but that's ok with me. -Amy

| Canon..love them. I've started with a Canon SD10, then SD 500...all wonderful. Now I have a Titanium Canon Ixus 900 ((It's 10.0 Mega pixels))-- A gift from DH last fall. It's pretty compact in size and works wonderfully with a million different features.

Donating YT 500 Club Member | I'm still loving my Canon Powershot A630. A lot of camera (8mp, 4x zoom) for the money (under $200) plus gives you the option to go manual and even add lenses. |
