| I'm about to throw my computer out the window! I've been having problems with my laptop staying charged so I bought a new powercord last week. I've had the new cord 2 days and it started acting up again! I think either the battery is loose or something inside where the cord plugs in is messed up. It flashes from charging to not charging every few seconds even when it's just sitting on a table! 50% of the time, I can wiggle the cord around and get it to start charging again, but the rest of the time, I have to beat on it before anything works! AHHH I HATE TECHNOLOGY!!!

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Here is another tip for you...once your battery is charged then unplug it. When you leave it plugged in and the battery is in it kills out the cells faster

Yeah, I know Unfortunately, I think it's too late now for that advice. My battery will only last 30-45 minutes if I'm just searching the internet.

| something to try.... if the battery is losing its cell charging ability, it will affect your puter even with the power cord plugged in. Try to take your battery completely out of your computer and plug it in, if you stop having problems, it is probably dead cells in your battery..... good luck

| yes, usually if you take the battery out and the power plug works, it means that you need a new battery.... This has happened to two of our laptops and my puter guy pegged it both times.... good luck!

| It's NOT the battery!! About 2 seconds after I clicked the submit button on the above post, my screen went Black! I kept wiggling the cord around but I couldn't get it "just right" to turn back on. I put the battery back in, and at least we have power again Guess that means I need to take it somewhere to have it looked at.

| yep, if its not the battery, it could be a short in the power connection inside your puter... that should be pretty easy for someone to fix for you. Sorry I couldnt help more and good luck! d

| No, you actually helped quite a bit! Now, I know what's causing the problem! Before, I was just beating on the whole thing until it started to charge again!
