| Someone STOLE my wallet!! I am SOO SOO mad right now I just need to vent!!! I went shopping after work today and someone stole my wallet right out of my purse!! I thought I left it in a store and I was frantically searching for it for 30 min before I called my CC company. The person charged 2 gas purchases on my cards, one on my check card and the other on my corporate card!! UGHH!!! It's not so much the charges I'm worried about, since I will not be held liable. Its that the person has my personal info now! Not to mention that the wallet itself cost over $750 and is only a MONTH old!!!! I would happy just to get the wallet back. I am so upset I've been trying not to cry. How could I have let this happen??? I feel so violated. How can someone do such a terrible thing? I already cancelled on my CC's and filed a police report. They say they'll "look in to it". I'm having such a terrible day.

| I am so sorry!! I know how you feel! I had my wallet stolen out of my purse once. I stopped carrying an actual (obvious) wallet in my purse. They might still steal the purse, but those reaching in won't see an actual wallet to lift. I'm so sorry. I know how you feel about your personal info too.

| So sorry this happened to you. Someone once told me to make a copy of the contents of my wallet in case it ever got stolen. I couldn't tell you all that I have in it so it is a good idea to do that. Hope you get to find it somehow.

| Ugh! Some people! I am so sorry, I commend you for not crying...I would of broken down already if it was me. I hope the police can catch the person and at least get your wallet back. At the grocery store I work at, we had a man steal 4 purses out of shopping carts in 3 days!

| oh no... I'm so sorry honey, I know just how you feel...my boyfriend and I were sitting at PF Changs and I hung my purse on my chair...reaching for my wallet to pay I realized..my purse had been stolen...they charged a butt load on all my cards...to make matters worse I had my ssn card in my wallet cause I had just filled out health insurance for my new job that day! Nothing has happened thank goodness but keep an eye on all your credit reports and make sure that you put a fraud alert on them as well...I just tried to open a savings account online recently and was very pleased to see that it couldn't be done...and when I switched credit card companies had to go through all this verification to prove it was me! I felt so violated so I totally understand how your feeling right now...((HUGS)) to you and as much as it stinks try not to implode from stress...it'll turn out okay if you follow the identity theft procedures!

| That's awful. We can't trust anyone anymore. I've become very careful and whenever I am pushing a shopping cart, I buckle my purse into the child seat straps and ALWAYS keep it zipped shut. At restaurants, I keep it somewhere less accessible to anyone passing by. I can't stand crooks!

| OH wow... Im so sorry!!! That just really really stinks!!! People think they can just take what is not theres cuz they can. Its so sad really! I worry that my wallet or pocketbook will get stolen and like you I worry more about the item than the contents! Sucks to pay so much for something and someone just thinking they have the right to just take it!

| I'm so sorry. It happened to my daughter right after Christmas. Her SS card, license, and three gift cards were in a brand new wallet that was also a Christmas gift. She never got any of it back.

| Thank you everyone for their posts. It has made me feel a bit better, although I'm still angry. I really hope they can catch the person too. Some people in this world just don't have ethics and they have to steal other people hard earned things. I am shocked at how often it happens and how little the police actually look in to these cases. I doubt I will ever get it back I have defianlty learned a lesson and will be EXTRA careful with my belongings now.

| I'm sorry that happened to you. It is a horrible feeling. My husband had his wallet pick pocketed a couple of years ago when we were at a flea market. Didn't even realize it till we got home. Very SCARY feeling. Oh and never.....carry your Social Security card in your wallet either. Now a days with Identity Theft that's another thing can be prevented by not carrying it with you.
