| I really hate trying to get airline tickets.... I'm trying to find a round trip airline ticket from Chicago to Knoxville. The price jumped from $300 to around $500. GRRR!! I looked on the Southwest airline site, but the prices are confusing me. They have Business Select, Anytime and Wanna Get Away as the different types of tickets. It says " Fares do not include government fees and taxes." What in the world does that mean?? How am I suppose to pay for the extra fees if they don't charge me for them when I pay? Flying is confusing!!!!! Lol. |

| I fly Southwest pretty often and have never noticed those options. Are they before after you select your dates? The fares will probably be calculated in once you pick which flights you want.

| I went to the site, clicked book a flight, put in all my information and it gave me all the price lists. Its when I select the flight I want. These flights are SUPER cheap. Thats why I'm wondering whats going on with it. I just don't wanna end up buying a ticket and having to pay $200 more when I get to the airport. |

| I don't think government fees and tax are added until you choose your flight. Also, I think flying Tues, Wed, Thurs may be cheaper |

| I'm not looking forward to booking my next flight out to visit my son. The airlines have had to raise their fares since the price of fuel has gone up so much. Thanks for the heads up on booking on either Wednesday or Thursday's early a.m. or evening. Spruitt7: "Good Luck" I hope you get a good price on your ticket.

| the best time to book is 2am. that's when the inventory is updated and the cheaper seats are released to be sold. all airlines charge gov't fees and taxes. just concentrate on the lowest fare. did you check travel zoo?
