| I taught my girls to use a water bottle just by activating it with my fingers and then letting them lick my fingers. They caught on really fast. I have also heard you can try putting Karo syrup, or even a bit of peanut butter or something sweet on the activator or ball. Another thing is put chicken stock instead of water in it at first and let them smell and taste it. After they catch on you can gradually increase the water and decrease the chicken stock. It helps to not have water available in a bowl when you are trying to get them to use the bottle, but you must monitor them and make sure they are getting enough water.
