| Please pray for Denise Our dear Denise needs our prayers. When it rains it pours..that is how things are going for her. Denise was supposed to have her sinus surgery today. It got cancelled because the doc has the flu, so she has to think about that for another week. Her daughter, Lexi, came up with a rash a couple of weeks ago. The rash has gotten worse and the doctor told Denise that Lexi is probably allergic to Maddie. He sent them to an allergist and in testing, she started with the dog and Lexi reacted terribly to that. Denise told the allergist that Maddie is a yorkie and hypoallergenic. The allergist said that is is most likely from the saliva...that dogs lick themselves and other things and it ends up all over the house. She said to send Maddie somewhere for 2 weeks and then see if Lexi gets better...then reintroduce Maddie and see if she gets worse. OMGosh...please pray that this doesn't turn out to be an allergy to Maddie. Maddie will be going to Denise's sister's MIL for 2 weeks. Denise's daughter, Lauryn has been having dizzy spells. She finally found out today that it is from drinking too much gator aid and that she needs to drink water and eat some salty foods. After the doctor, Lauryn ate some salty pretzels and water and is already feeling better. Thank goodness for that! Lastly, Maddie has been peeing on their brand new carpet without them realizing it...it soaked into the pad and smelled something awful. They now have that ripped up and have to replace carpet and pad...it's less than a year old. Poor Denise! Please remember her in your prayers!

| Oh no!!! I wondered why I hadn't seen her for awhile. Was just getting ready to email her and seen this. Denise, I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. I wish there was something I could do to help.

| Wow you are right, when it rains it pours! I do hope her daughter is allergic to something else and not Maddie! That would be horrible! I'm sending her positive vibes that everything turns out O.K.!

| Your right, when it rains it pours. I can't believe poor Lexi may be allergic to Maddie. After all this time? What about before Maddie dissapeared? Was she having symptoms then too? I can't even think what would happen if this turned out to be true. Prayers' coming for Denise's family that it's totally something else and has nothing to do with Maddie. I am glad her other daughter is doing better. Who would ever guess Gaterade could do that to you. It's suppose to be healthy for you. I had a terrier who peed in my son's room and it went undetected for sometime. It had been going on for sometime and it was because my daughter got a MinPin and I was babysitting on the weekends for him. Teddy did this out of frustration having him around. When I realized it I stopped the other pup from coming over. Tore the rug up and Teddy never peed in the house again. Perhaps Maddie has not readjusted to being home yet. Something is bothering her for her to be doing this. Hang in there Denise, it has to get better soon. I pray it does. |

| thanks for posting Connie. lauryn's blood pressure was dropping when she stood up. they took it when she was laying, sitting and standing up. this made her feel dizzy. they called in something but i forget what he called it, but he did ask if she drank sports drinks alot. i said 24/7 that is all she drinks. he said does she work out and i said a little but not much. well according to him gateraide helps build up your electrolights and if you are not sweating them then your body builds up tooo much and starts using your sodium in the body. (weird) and can actually dehyrate you if taken too much. he said for her to drink water and eat something salty to build up her sodium intake in the body like pretzels. i thought he had totally lost his mind, but on the way home we got a 32 oz thing of water and a bag of pretzels and believe it or not several hours later, she is not near as dizzy. with lexi on friday it will be 3 weeks. the rash gets worse something. we have ruled out every childhood rash/virus, etc. He said its an allergic reaction, then we went thru everything that she had eaten, etc. i havent changed ANYTHING in the house, no diff soap, detergent, lotions, shampoo, sprays, nothing. he ask if we had animals. i told him about maddie and that she was 2 years old and lexi has never had this problem. he said at her age kids bodies start to change and they can be allergic to certain things that they never were before and visa versa. so after two weeks of trying certain meds. he were sent yesterday to an allergy specialist. he didnt want to do the needle/scrape test of all the stuff, but tried the top 3 first....dog, cat, and mold. she welted/rash up to dog, and cat (cat didnt surprise me cause me and lauryn do the same thing) the welt/rash looked almost like what was all over her body. Sooooo we are doing a test trial. Maddie is going to my sisters' mother in law who is home all day and is wonderful with animals and loves maddie very much for 2 weeks, starting tomorrow. then we are to shampoo carpets, furn, etc to try to rid of dog salvia/allergies. then see if it goes away. if it does when we will reintroduce maddie back into the house. if it occurs again then its maddie/salvia/hair or whatever. if it doesnt go away or doesnt come back then we will search on to other things. just ruling things out one by one. we've been doing this now for almost 3 weeks. we had to write down everything she ate, products used, etc. its been crazy on top of me getting ready for surgery, the expense of the whole sticker thing, now doctor expense from this rash/ lauryn sick,/ having the house new carpet cleaned when its only 7 months old. i can't even bare to think of what it will be if she is allergic to her. they did say she could do shots 2-3 times a week but dont recommend it with her being so young. the doctor said he wouldnt put no child for that when you can just remove the source ( i bet she's never owned a yorkie) Maddie just came back into our lives, i can't imagine losing her again. omg....i can't even go there right now. oh and having the living room carpet redone. she has had about 8 accidents that i personally have cleaned up with natures miracle, but she must have been haveing more than i knew. remind you no physical stains on top of the carpet. but omg when we pulled it up i about died. so yes...i need prayers, i need guidance, i'm about to be physcially and emotionally stressed out! |

| Prayer's coming for you Denise. Lot's and lot's of prayer's. Just a thought: How long have you been using Nature's Miracle? About the same time as Lexi's rash maybe? That's something different in the house, isn't it? |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Sending tons of prayers for them all. Maybe it's something she bathed the pup in that her daughter is having the allergic reaction to..hoping it's something along those lines and not really an allergy.

I am so sorry Denise for all you are going through right now!! I will keep you and my family in my prayers!! So you are having surgery on your sinuses? I had that done twice. The first week is the worst mainly because of the packing, once it is removed you start to feel better. You will be so glad you had the surgery done, it makes such a huge difference, I am so glad I did, it was totally worth it. As for allergy shots it isn't as bad as it seems, at least not where I got mine. The needle was very tiny, you didn't even feel it. I have seen several young children go there on a regular basis and do great with getting the shot. I was allergic to dogs and cats. I couldn't even be in the same room as a cat but I have cats as well as dogs. I was on the allergy shots plus medicine for about 4 years and it has improved my allergies a ton. I no longer have to get the shots or take the medicine and I can be around dogs and cats without any problems. I will be saying a prayer that everything goes alright with your and your family.
