| Can't stop.. Burping. UGH. I have been beltching almost non stop since yesterday morning Everything at eat feels like its staying at the base of my throat and could come back up at anytime. I've tried drinking water and that seems to make it worse. Any other suggestions.

| Oh, that's awful. Wierd, but sometimes when I'm like that I'll lay ON my stomach. The contra-pressure sometimes seems to help. Hope you feel better soon!!

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I dont' want to scare you but that happened to my husband 3 years ago and we found out he had a ruptured spleen - he had to have emergency surgery - died on the operating table - came back ....and then we found out after he had a terminal illness (NOT RELATED TO THE Ruptured Spleen) sorry to be depressing but if it weren't for that spleen rupture we wouldn't have known WHY he couldn't breath - he was terrible about going to the doctor.... So - if this continues - you may want to go get checked out - it could be nothing but it could be something |

| I hope this is a non-issue this morning, but if not ... I would call my doctor to see what they suggest. Hope you are feeling better... ! |

| I'm dealing with a similar situation right now. I had food poisoning in December and it really damaged my stomach...as a result my stomach is emptying very slowly so I feel full all day and have a lot of stomach gas. If I eat small meals I feel better and a good side affect is that I've lost quite a lot of weight! LOL! I use Gas-X pills and they work great but if you haven't seen a doctor I would go get checked out. |

| so I'm still at it this morning. I'm definitely going to the doctor if it hasn't stopped by this weekend. I rarely burp so to be doing it pretty much nonstop is odd.

Please don't wait until this weekend. Sounds like something is definitely up. Are you having any other symptoms, chest pain, etc.??

| Oh my. I guess burping does need to be checked out. I hope it's nothing serious and is just a silly story to tell later on.

a bit of heartburn here and there, but nothing major. I'll see if my doc can get me in any sooner.

| Thanks y'all. It finally stopped yesterday. I'm thinking it was probably something I was eating or drinking that was causing it. While I was in Boise I ate and drank completely different than I do here, so I think maybe getting back here and eating like I normally do and drinking soda again was maybe causing it.
