YT 500 Club Member | I am so upset! Every day I check our local Humane Society website, just in case there is a Yorkie there. I just checked, and there is a beautiful 7 y/o Schnauzer. It said he was surrendered because his owners were trying to sell their house!!! WHAT??? Is he like an old couch? I feel so bad that someone would just dump their pet of seven years because they are trying to sell the house. Maybe he didn't match the carpet.

| Yes someone posted about how the mortgage crisis has caused a lot of pets to be abandonded. I think there was even and article too and it was very sad. Not that it is easy to read, but it may still be posted on yt. You can search it. It makes me so very mad ...Like you said, they are not a piece of furniture.

| I knew a woman that volunteered at our local shelter. She told me that they actually had a woman bring in her cat because,"she did not match her new furniture." No joke....she said that they all had to MAKE themselves be civil to her. Tammy |

| Some people are so horrible. You see that all the time unfortunately. I don't understand how people have a dog or cat as a family member for 10 years and then rehome them. It's not like you would rehome your skin kid. GRRR!! If you are going to do that, don't get a pet in the first place!!! Poor babies!

| This afternoon , my friend rescued a 11 years old Yorkie female . Her owner dumped her near a Dunkin Donuts . When my friend ask the woman why she was dumping her , she simply told him that the female wasn't able to have strong healthy puppies , and she don't have time and money to loose with her. |

| That's what is horrible. It's like you are taking the best years of the cat's life. It's easy to rehome a kitten, but it's extremely hard next to impossible to rehome an elderly cat. How could the woman not have formed a closeknit bond with this cat if she had owned it its whole life? Unbelievable! Some people!

| People are simply cruel anymore..... None of my dogs "match" anything in my house ('cept me...)! And that's why we all love each other! |

| My partner was at work. In back of the building is a river. Well, a car flew by going toward the back of the building. All the sudden a cat flew out of the window.(on the beach area) They were caught, a father and son. They said it cried too much. They have had this cat for a few years. Needless to say cops were called, my partner wanted to take them for a ride and see how they liked being tossed out the window. Oh, and we now have a new cat.

| People make me sick. I've volunteered with both a shelter and a rescue, and the excuses I've heard are just sickening and stupid. We have a dog of almost every color... nothing in our house matches!
