| Getting your Dooney Repaired or Replaced? It seems that the dooney my hubby bought me for christmas this year 2007 needs to get repaired Apparently I just noticed that on the bottom the cord is coming out of the leather.. they say that they can repair or replace it if its under the 1 yr which it is but I m kinda worried about sending them my purse and waiting for it to come back... anyone have any type of experience with this? Can my local Dillards or Foleys repair it? |

| It may take a few weeks turn around time for the repair. You can also try a leather repair shop, but they most likely won't have the exact matching leather for your bag as the factory would. If you took it back to the dept. store they would probably just send it back to the factory themselves or exchange yours for a new one but you have to have the receipt.

| I've sent several Dooneys for replacement and never had an issue, just follow their instructions or if you have questions you can call or contact by e-mail or Live Chat |

| Retailers wouldn't allow exchange/return it even if you bought it in a store. The retail stores have nothing to do with their exchange/repair policy. Retail would only exchange the bag under normal store policy if purse was unused. Last edited by Stella's mom; 03-30-2008 at 06:36 PM. Reason: spelling |

| As long as you bought your bag from an authorized dealer (dept. store) Dooney should honor your repair at no cost since its under warranty. On a related note, if a Dooney was purchased at a discount retailer (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc.) they would repair if for you but charge for it.
