Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Beauty and the Beast!! EEEEE!!! my school's show opens tonight!! Beauty and the Beast!! Its my first high school show...and it has been a blast. From the auditions I've felt 100% confident in the cat the whole time...there were some parts of the show towards the end of rehearsals where I was getting stressed...but overall this has been my most positive expierance so far! Our rehearsals lately have been going from 6-about 11:30 at night, but I think its totally worth it cause it looks GOOD. Last night was the final dress rehearsal. I've got some pictures to share. 1. Peter (Gaston) and Dave (Monsieur D'Arque) 2. Christina (Mrs. Potts) 3. Emily (yellow dress) and me (pink dress). I HATE this picture (I look, bored, dead, and awful), but its the only one I have of me so far. My stage makeup is really obnoxious. 4. Kristina (Belle) Her shoulder thing is hanging off because this was after the scene where the Beast rips it I have one more picture in the next post, then I'll stop for tonight.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I don't know why the pictures aren't working. Hang on...I'll try again. (Same order) OK...so the picture of me refuses to resize...but the others should be OK. Sorry guys. Its a new (old) computer, and I haven't resized pictures on it before.

| Nice costumes! Still want to see your picture!!! Have fun tonight! Looks like it will be great!! All my kids were in drama in high school and loved it!! My eighth grader can't wait until next year so she can be in it, too!(although she did play an orphan in the HS play of "Annie" this year).

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Honest, guys! The picture of me wouldn't resize. Never fear though, because I'll get my mom to take some of the show itself tonight, instead of just lame backstage pictures. Last night's show was WONDERFULLL. It was flawless. Except for the "Gaston" dance, but we were supposed to be drunk and everyone did a great job covering up the mistakes with the drunkenness. The stage crew, which I was most worried about, had no problems at all, and the only problem the lighting crew had was that they set off the "Be Our Guest" confetti in the middle of the song...that was funny. But other than that, everything was perfect. The people that I talked to afterwords said that it was the best show the school has done in the 17 years its been doing shows! THAT was amazing to hear! The show was completely sold out...as it is again tonight. The audiance was wonderful. They clapped during our kick line (and, as I told Mike, it wasn't just "oh its a kick line we have to clap" kind of applause...it was more of a "that kicked butt" kind of applause). Our Belle was sick the other day and yesterday, so we were REALLY worried that her voice was going to go, but she pulled through and sounded incredible. As did everyone else. We finally got the energy that we needed, because we've been looking dead during rehearsals. My only blooper was slipping during Be Our Guest, and after I made a very unattractive face (and I know to just act like nothing happened, but it was a natural reaction cause I almost fell on my booty ) I got back into the dance and it was fine. During the curtain call, we got insane applause. Belle & the Beast got a standing-O when they came out. Then we all went to the edge of the stage and sang part of "Be Our Guest" (complete with the kick line) and the audiance was on their feet before we were done. It was an incredible night. I'm sooo exhausted. Its so funny, because we give it our all on stage, then I'm on such a high that I don't sleep, then I come to school and for 2 hours I'm slap-happy thanks to the exahaustion, and now I'm going to go lay down because I'm falling asleep typing this. My family (& extended family) is coming tonight, and Friday night is always the best show, so I'm excited. I'll see if I can get my mom to take some videos of a few scenes, too.
