Cry So sad

I just am so sad today. No matter what I do I just don't feel like I fit in. I recently moved from one state back to my home town. All my "friends" are too busy or no way to contact them. Now I am wondering why I moved. I got my computer for Valentines and I joined several "talk" forums and it just seems like I can't make friends that way either. Sorry!

You have friends here at YT. I know it is hard for anybody that moves from one place to another. It is gonna take some time. Try getting out more. Spring is coming, the weather is getting nicer so people are gonna come from the wood works. Take your furbaby or babies on walks in the park or just down the street you wll be surprised on how many people you meet. Keep a smile on your face it will be ok in time.

Hi there, just want to say welcome to YT. I am sorry you're feeling sad today.
It may take a little while, but I'm sure you will make lots of friends on here. Just about everyone is super friendly and helpful. I have "met" tons of wonderful people and have made some really good friends.

I think the secret is to post quite a bit, so that people can get to know you.

Stick around, I'm sure you will have fun here.

I wish you lived here. I too have no friends. I feel like a loner all the time. I spend so much time on YT just to have something to do. LOL The bad part is I live in a small town and if you did grow up here then you dont fit in. I have lived here for 10 years and still only have (THE FAMILY). If you ever need someone to talk to PM me we can chat.

I'll be your friend. Where in Kansas did you move back to? I used to live in Kansas and still travel thru there when we go visit relatives in KC. You will always find someone to talk with here on YT. You can PM me anytime. I am sure that I am much older than you but I can "talk" with the best of them

Maybe we can meet up sometime. Until about a year ago, we were Part Time RVers. We would go at least 2 weeks out of every month. Then I had bilateral knee replacement surgery and we had to stop for awhile but we're ready to go again.

Awww, I'm sorry you're having a bad time. It can take a while to feel like you've made friends on a forum as large as this one but stick with us! I totally understand how you feel! Hugs!

Hey girl... I didn't catch your name.... ??? Mines Kathryn... Unless yours is Dixon, I'm in the dark, lol

Kansas huh? I'm a bit far... I went to kansas once though! Dodge City! For a family Renuion! The Schoens got together! It sure was something! I was 20 years old and it was a mess! I was nervous as all get out and the puddle jumper we took from the big airport to the little one scared me half to death! The baby cried all teh way there! It was awful!

I remember getting off the plane and feeling like we had landed on MARS! I turned to my hubby and said " babe, where are all the mountians???" See I had never left CA before so I didn't know the earth was FLAT... It was at that very moment that I really understood what Christopher Colombus was up against! I felt like I could walk to the END of the earth and fall of... Like Kansas was where the sidewalk ended!

To top the first day of me Exciting trip off, we opened our suit case up only to realize that my *&^$@$*& husband had failed to pull MY things from the dryer and pack them! So it was an 80% empty suit case! See, I was bust packing up the baby, and doing laundry and packing his stuff... all I asked was that he pull my things out and put them in the suit case! Aparently I was asking TOO MUCH... he zipped up a mostly EMPTY case??? He must have eaten his brain for breakfast!

So faced with church the next morning, a 2 month old baby, less than 200 in our single income checking account, and not even a pair of under pants! The ONLY clothing store anyone could reccomend was WALLMART! (did I mention we would be staying a WEEK!

My trip to Kansas was not real fun... I had a hard time making friends too!

I may have missed your intro post... but tell me about you!!! Where were you living before why did you move, who do you live with??? DISH!

awww Dixon Im sorry you are feeling so down! As we get older making friends seems harder and harder. I meet people, but more often than not I end up staying closest to my oldest friends! Im sorry you are so sad though! It will happen... with summer coming also, you and everyone else will be more active and social Im sure! hang in there!

I'm sorry you are feeling so lonely and left out. I would suggest either joining a church and getting involved. People there tend to really appreciate when people step up and ask to help out and I think they would welcome you with open arms and you would make some new friends. In lieu of that, you could try taking a class like yoga or something else that interests you. I would also encourage you to reach out to others like some of the people on here. Good luck! Hope you are feeling better soon!

Welcome to YT!

I was once in your shoes. I moved back home from my first college and when I did, all my friends had pretty much abandoned me. So I had to make new ones, which wasn't easy b/c I was shy (and still am, justnot as much).

Are there any things you are interested in? I made my first new friend in town by going to my church's college group and from there met her friends, started going out on the wknds and having fun and meeting even more friends-sadly most of them have now graduated and moved and I'm alone again. I have also recently gotten involved in the dance groups on campus to give myself something to do and meet new people. Maybe there are some things in your town or a nearby town that you were be interested in doing and you could meet new friends that way?

I know how hard it is to meet new people, and I'll be having to do it again in 2 months when I move back to my old college town (now that all my friends there have moved).
