| Um, yeah. And having kids in college just makes it complicated. I've been piddling around with mine for a couple of weeks. I should really get 'em done.

| I love doing ours on the computer, we have state farm ins. so, can do them for free..well, we had to do the one that cost $20 because of mutual funds, etc. but, it took less than an hour and it looks for all the mistakes..so, if I were doing them by hand, yes, would hate it, but, it's so easy with turbo tax |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had to wait for corrected 1099's and now my tax guy can't get me in until April 1st. That's ok I will probably owe.

| Oh yes, I hate it!!! That's why I have a tax accountant do them! Considering that we do get a nice chunk back (well, enough to pay a few bills), I don't mind handing it over to him and he doesn't charge much at all. There's no telling what a mess I would make of it. And MindieRose..... I hear ya! My best friend has 4 kids and they look forward all year to that nice tax return check!!

| Mascot Oh I have a good story for this, I had to not only do my taxes but do an amendment because my taxes got kicked back because some criminal decided to use my child's social so now we have to do an investigation that won't even start for 8 to 10 weeks.... I was so mad Oh well, at least I will be able to track them down.... Idiots, Dot

| Angie, if you have State Farm ins. they're free to do online, ours cost $20 as we had to do the deluxe, but, the state was free..anyway, do them online on turbo tax, it won't cost anything as long as you don't submit it(it actually makes doing taxes kind of fun), see what you come up with, then let your CPA do them, if it's the same amt. you will know next year you can do them yourselves and save money.. Our Acct used to work for the IRS, he did them for years, then he sold out to another guy, that guy charged over $300 and made more mistakes than my 5 year old g-daughter would have made.. |

| YES! Turbotax all the way! Cost me $45 to file them and took me under an hour. I own a house, have student loans and AM going to school (is a write off)! It was sooo easy! I highly recommend it!

| I was pretty determined to do our taxes myself again this year but finally gave up and got turbo tax this past weekend (still trying to figure out some stuff). We bought a rental house last year and looks like theres two different places you can put it, plus points from closing and deducting interest for the investment loan, oh what a head ache. And that's only one part! Can't believe I thought last year's was hard
