| I am so disappointed Yesterday I was made an appointment to go see this guy about getting his pug that he was giving away. She was a one year old purebred named Roxie. He says the apartment complex doesn't allow pets and he is supposed to rehome her by Thursday. So I was supposed to see her Today at 10 a.m. Anyway, I had to call this morning to make sure he was home first and get directions and he says "oh, sorry, my friend is taking her now and we decided that we are going to breed her and sell her puppies. And since a lot of people called about taking her, I decided those people could get a really good deal on her puppies if they wanted one." My daughter is absolutely devastated. She has been crying for the past hour because we were supposed to go see Roxie today and she has wanted a pug for the past 3 years. I think what he did was really stinky. I am really disgusted.

| Sounds like the guy weaved a deceitful web. Your daughter is learning a hard knock, but maybe she will learn by it. There are too many Pugs needing homes to let this set you back. Go on the Pug rescue, or ask the folks who show these dogs if they have a retired one they would like to find a loving home for. Most people who show dogs are always looking out for homes for their retired ones. Good luck in your search. |

| I wish there was something like a pug rescue in our area, but we live in such a remote part of the state there isn't.

| Most rescues will help get the dog to you. Maybe you could take a week-end trip to get one. Google AKC Pug breeders in Iowa. Find the ones who show dogs and see it they have any retired ones or know anyone that does. You have to get out there and be willing to take a little trip. |

| That would be good if I lived in Iowa but I live in Idaho. Iowa is kind of far. I have checked for rescues near me and the closest one is in Seattle and that one is about 8 hours from me.
