| Mom's are like the Redeemer I am not a mother, but am a woman and hope to someday have children. So I was watching the TLC channel and saw the Baby story show and realized these women know what they are getting themselves into and still smile!!!! I do not mean to offend anyone who believes or doesn't believe in Jesus, but I see many similarities to His great deed and to Mothers great deed- birth! Like When Jesus went to pray in the Garden of Gettsemene, That was like the whole going in to labor/ water breaking. Lets not get into detail but crucifiction is not at all glorifying, but honorable ( if you are an innocent just wanting to do a good for the better of man kind). But the pain and suffering a mother pays to bare life to their child is reminisent of the pain and suffering Christ paid for our eternal life... Motherhood must be great, and awful all at once. I can only imagine what unconditional love must be, you have a person growing inside you and you love them so much you would stop doing things for yourself for the betterment of this stranger... wow! Then as they age you show them the way, they may or may not stray but if they do you love them the whole time and just hope that they would remember your words, advice, beckoning and above all your love. Even when they fall, after you warned them they would, you are there to pick them up and you make sure they understand why they fell, and you comfort them, love them and forgive them. I guess the cycle is endless, and your work as a mother is too never-ending.. that just reminds me of Jesus. I use to think my mom was too nice to my older siblings, they've hurt her, took her for granted and have even abandoned her in her time of need, but she would always send them Birthday cards and gifts (even when she was broke) she would always answer their calls, supply their need even though they didn't do the same for her, she would always tell them she loved them and would always forgive them. I stopped thinking my mother was weak in my teens (when I had a rebellious spell) and realized how strong and wise she truly is. Once when I asked myself why my mother was so dumb and kept forgiving the people that mostly hurt her I heard a still small voice that said "that's how I love you" and was tremendously humbled. I want to commend all the mother's out there that always look after their children. You are a gift!!!!!!!!!!
